The curse of narrative causality

Adrian didn't quite know how this had all happened so fast. First she was in a match which after a great deal of moping, then getting angry, then pain, she won. A few hours later her opponent then had her arm around the cosplayer and had somehow managed to drag her to a bar.

A bar of all places. Didn't she know about narrative causality in this company? Adrian nursed her weak rum and coke at a bar table while watching Cecilia Northman (the one she beat) chug down a beer like it was nothing. Didn't she know what happened whenever people went to get a drink? Bad things, that's what. The last time she went out drinking she ended up getting caught up with one of the scariest women in the league, and now she kept looking out of the corner of her eyes to check if there weren't any irritable brawlers around looking for a fight.

Cecilia looked over at Adrian sipping slowly on her drink, and smiled, gave her a light pat on the back, "Hey come on Adrian....loosen up will ya..." Cecilia downed the last of her beer, before she called over the bartender, "Hey can I have two martinis, please" she said to the bartender "Make them shaken, dry and with an olive", she then turned around to Adrian again, "You okay Adrian, do I have to get you drunk off your ass, to make you lighten up and have some fun with me" Cecilia said as she placed a hand on her shoulder.

"huh?" Adrian said, poking her head up from her not-very-strong drink. "I...I'm fine it's just..." the cosplayer began, trying to figure out how to word this "last time I went to a bar with other wrestlers the place got wrecked so I'm kinda... yeah..." would she even understand narrative causality? Adrian wondered as fresh drinks were served in front of her, she'd never had Martini's before and was only half way through her own drink. Still with the way Cecilia looked at her she thought it would be a good idea to just drink it up.

Slamming it back her eyes went wide, she hadn't expected them to be like that "A... bit dry" she coughed out.

"Hmm...did you get hurt...or?...no matter...don't worry Addy...Cecilia is here to protect you..." Cecilia said with a smile, Cecilia looked on as Adrian grabbed one of the martinis and threw it back, drinking it all, "Cecilia looked on with a bit of a confused look on her face, "Never seen anyone drink a martini as a shot before..." Cecilia said with a giggle as she went a head and did the same with her martini.

"Delicious!" Cecilia said after she slammed the entire drink back, and took the tooth pick with the olive on it and ate it, she began to play around with the tooth pick in her mouth.

"ahhgghhhh!" Adrian gagged, still reeling from the effects. "It was a small glass and I don't drink a lot, how was I supposed to know how to drink it?" she complained. "And besides, I got off lightly, it was my tag partner and the psycho freak that tore the place down... I'm just hoping that she doesn't shoe up, the crazy lady not my friend, although my friend would probably not like me going out with someone who kind of made me cry in the ring a bit." she mumbled, quickly turning to order another rum and coke. It probably was a bad idea to mix drinks but the sweet drink should help counteract the dryness of the Martini. Stupid gin and it's stupidness.

"So how long you been in Japan?" she asked, trying to drum up some conversation as she lightly sipped on her new drink.

Cecilia laughed as Adrian seemed to stumble on her words a bit, "I made you cry?...you almost broke my arm." Cecilia said with a smile, as she moved an arm around and placed it on Adrian's shoulders, "Don't worry, If that *Crazy Lady* shows up we'll just beat the crap out of her okay?" Cecilia said as she looked on at Adrian, "Did you say something about your friend not liking me?".

Cecilia looked at Adrian when she asked her a question, "Oh..well about a month." Cecilia answered.

"Yeah well... you were gonna drop me on my head!" she said defensively on instinct, not really thinking about it much.

"So... I've been here longer than you." She said, a smile appearing on her face "that makes me your senior here." She said, looking smug.

"Well you did poke me in the eye" Cecilia said giggling as in response to Adrian's words, "I guess it does...but isn't that type of thing determined by age as well?"

Cecilia said as she brought Adrian in closer, giving her a one arm hug, as she turned to the bartender and ordered a glass of Jameson's Whiskey.

"heh...yeah." Adrian admitted, pulling herself into the hug a bit closer than was probably necessary, it was Cecilia's fault for being so comfy "Isn't that stuff a bit heavy?" she asked as the barkeep poured out the glass of whiskey. She hadn't drunk much and yet the cosplayer was already starting to feel the effect slightly.

"Of course..it's heavy, what you want one?" Cecilia said as she felt Adrian pull in even closer in the hug, Cecilia brought the whiskey up to her lips and began to drink it slowly, something this fine, should not be wasted, the Smokey taste trickled through her mouth and down her troth as she took a sip, "Want a taste?" she said as she brought it down to Adrian's face.
