A Serious Revision~

Due to a recent occurence in my IRL life I recently came to an unexpected conclusion about myself~
That conclusion is that I'm a Jerk~

Now, you see, I attempt to be neutral even when I walk thin lines or step on toes~
I honestly only do tick people off by accident unless I simply dislike you as a person~
I've always held steadfast to my beliefs and will viciously defend them when attacked with malice. When I fight; I fight to defend and disable~
I believe in being correct instead of being politically correct~
I believe in understanding and thinking before you act~
I believe in sacrifice~
I believe in courtesy, kindness and respect~
I believe heavily in honor~
I believe that the rights of man are undeniavble and that man is still the most vicious and cruel beast to ever walk~
I know there is suffering, and I accept it~
I know there are people who dislike me greatly; and I accept it~
I know that Chivalry isn't dead and I accept it~
I know that I like to argue to understand people, and I accept it~
I know that I'm a grating person and I accept it~

But when it comes down to it, everyone realizes at some point that something isn't right and for me; its that the type of person I am is dying. To put it simply; by stubbornly clinging to my beliefs and ways while maintaining neutrality I essentially become a Jerk; unwilling to do anything more than watch and unable to cause a change in people; For I have no key to unlock hearts. True Neutrality: it protects those who wear its pin on their lapel yet its a curse, a mark of a jerk who is unwilling to do that which they know might help~

I'm not sure what to say; yet I feel that its just a harder and harder world to live in without taking sides~ *Sigh*

Yeah; thats about it~

On a serious note, I think that you examine things intellectually at a distance, and that allows you to avoid any of the unpleasantness of being convicted and acknowledging when you're in the wrong. You can always rationalize from arms length. It's the first thing I noticed about you, that sort of arrogance that comes from twisting away and rationalizing past any criticisms. I want to be clear though, I don't say that to be insulting or because I don't like you, it's because I think I know you a little bit and I want you to be better. You owe it to yourself and to the people around you.

I don't know about neutrality. I think that might be a euphemism for a little narcissism, and a little fear of the sort that makes people do that sort of thing. Maybe your parents were super critical and not very encouraging or approving, but I'll stow the pop psychoanalysis. But from reading this post there are a few things I see about you.

1. It takes a certain amount of guts to post something like this, and that's good. Props.

2. It looks like, judging by the middle section, that there's still a bit of arrogance maintained in there. Again, not insulting, if there was a better word in my lil vocabulary, I'd use it. Maybe... insecurity, even, maybe you want to run what you think are the good things about yourself up the flag pole for people to see and acknowledge.

3. You are THE SINGLE WORST MISUSER OF THE SEMI COLON IN THE WORLD. The ~ thing I can get over, but using semi colons instead of commas is just unforgivable.

So anyway, sorry to put up this whole big thing, but that was exciting to me. I like you a bunch more now for that.
