P.s. Does anyone still go back and play good but aged games like chrono trigger or FF6?

Currently playing Chrono Trigger. (Not at this very moment tho) This past spring break consisted of nothing but School Rumble and Chrono Trigger... XD

And honestly Kelsea I know what where you're coming from about how we shouldnt have to "downgrade to something that has inherently lower quality graphics". But a majority of THOSE Handheld games are better than anything we got on consoles... *Sigh* It's very double-edged situation if you ask me... Ah well... Im off to play Dante's Inferno.

Graphics != Game quality

And seriously...how can you look at most of those and say the graphics are bad? The World Ends With You has amazing sprite work (As does Mario and Luigi 3, really), while Birth By Sleep pushes the PSP to it's absolute limit and it amazing to see in action.

If you think those games aren't good because they don't have HD graphics or are super detailed, then I don't think gameplay is really what you're looking for in a game.

EDIT: And as for your last post, I actually just finished a playthrough of Chrono Trigger DS. Lots of nice bonus content there. <3

Yes. But in Dante's Inferno you can Kill Unbaptized Babies with Sickle's on their arms.

Actually, what I should have said was: "I shouldn't have to go out and by a PSP when I've got a PS2 and Xbox360, then play on a small screen which I am not fond of just cause I want a good RP"

Concentrating on the graphics has been the problem in the first place for these game designers... So if an RP with good storyline but not so good graphics came out I'd be happy... However I want to be able to play it on my tv screen with my xbox360/PS2 controller.

#some of the hand held's graphics do remind me of the old games (that I loved) frustratingly enough... Its almost like I might as well just go back and play some of the old games I missed...

If i had to pick i guess it would have to be Suikoden 4 and the Xenosaga triology for the Ps2 and Brigadine for the Ps1 and if anyone knows this game i will have to give props to you. It is called Sword of Vermillion for the Sega Genesis, this game is a favorite of mine with many nostalgic memories as i played it to death when i was a child. This game is the reason my Sega Genesis melted or at least parts of it did. <img src=" title="Smile" />

Alright, that makes more sense. That being said...

Don't expect many of the type of RPG you want on the 360? The system is a total flop in Japan, so none of the developers that make that type of RPG are going to touch the thing.

On the other hand, the PS2's RPG is absolutely stellar, so I can recommended plenty of RPGs for it if you want.

[quote="Alexandra":34taoptc]Oh rubbish, there's still plenty of awesome RPGs.

It's just that most of them are on handhelds instead of consoles.

This is absolutely true. The DS is the only gaming system I own and I am drowning in good Wizardry-likes here. We also got the English language versions of Dragon Quest 5 and 6 finally.

@Alexandra, P.S. EO3 owns. The new classes are so good.

NEWS FLASH: the Archergurl who you speaking of is not part of AFW anymore and she's currently working in production for new game titles in Japan. I'm her Canadian friend who she gave her PC due to mines has crashed. She was nice enough to give it to me to help a friend in need. So she got a spared one that she uses for the things I've mention above. BTW, Anegge and Alexandra be sure to check the E-mail adresses carefully. As Archergurl and me aren't the same thing.

Haven't gotten to try it yet, annoyingly. Money's been a bit tight with all my medical bills piling up. :X Good to know it's solid, though.

My younger brother owns a DS and I dont really play with it very often. But when I do, im usually playing. FF4, New Super Mario Bros, and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2.

And if I ain't mistaken... Cant you play your PSP on a TV with a certain cable? and the PSP is your controller?
