Romana v Songbird

Romana was in one of the gymâ€s practice rings, dressed to wrestle and waiting for her opponent. One of the other Friction girls had suggested a training match, and sheâ€d happily accepted – she welcomed any chance to perfect her moves before putting them on show for the fans. Finishing her warm-up stretches, she took a final sip from her water bottle, then hopped up onto the turnbuckle. Passing the time before the other girl showed, she began practicing one of her favourite tricks, casually walking the top rope, humming as she effortlessly circled the ring.

Then, there was a small opening from the front door and in came a girl with pink and white hair. She was wearing a dark shining pink sleeveless zippered suit with the collars covering the bottom of her face, long black fingerless gloves,and black army boots. She looked around the practice area and was pretty impressed by its tidyness. Soon, her eyes met Romana and she smiled. "I guess that's the one."

“Oh, hi!” Romana called over her shoulder. She hopped neatly down from the ropes and moved to the centre of the ring.
“Iâ€m Romana, you must be Songbird, right?”
Seeing her opponent for the first time, the German girl thought she looked nice, though also quite capable – slightly taller than Romana, though similarly athletic. This could be a close contest!
“So, uh, are you ready to wrestle? What kind of matches do you like?”

Songbird smiled at her and said, "Hello, Romana. Yes, I am Songbird." She then jumped on the top rope and kept her balance as she walked around. "For me, I only like normal matches with normal rules. I fight clean and I don't want to be like the others."

"Okay, good, I like normal rules too" smiled Romana. She limbered up and began to circle her opponent, keeping on her toes, waiting for any opening. "Surely you don't mean ALL the other girls fight dirty, though? I mean yeah, there are a few heels out there, but some of the others are nice..."

"Well, I happen to be one of them." Songbird said as she front flipped into the ring. "Shall we begin then?" She showed her hand to Romana, telling her she can have the first move.

"I hope you're ready for me..." Romana smiled impishly. She advanced carefully on Songbird, looking to link arms in a grapple. Once Romana's arms were wrapped round her opponent she could then guage the other girl's strength, and try using her hip to toss Songbird to the mat.

Songbird smiled and said, "I'm sure I am." She jumped down and began to lock hands with Romana, but then, she would plant her feet in her opponent's stomach and toss her forward to the center.

Romana knew what was coming as the feet were planted in her stomach, though she couldn't do much to prevent it. Instead she let herself be tossed into the centre of the ring, hitting the canvas spine-first but nimbly rolling back onto her feet without suffering too much damage.
"You're good" Romana acknowledged.
The German girl would then bounce into the ropes at her back and run straight at Songbird. Romana would shape for a clothesline; if Songbird dodged her arm then Romana would rebound off the far ropes and go for a dropkick.

"Thanks, you too." Songbird replied as she would grab Romana's charging arm and put her in an armlock.
