Arcade Days Empty Arcade Days

Post by Lobo Fri Jul 16, 2010 12:45 am

Yesterday a piece of my Childhood flashed before my eyes. To be more specific...

ARCADE GAMING IN THE EARLY 90'S... (DUN DUN DUN!)

It took me nearly 20 years but I finally beat: The TMNT Arcade Game. Maximum Force, WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game, Sunset Riders Arcade, And Saturday Night Slam MAsters!

(I would add "Batman F'N Returns" but its a SNES only title >.>)

Anyway... I just had a random trip to the early 90's and now desire a chance to turn back time. Sadly all I can do is beat the other games that raped my pockets till I was broke. (Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 1-3, Metal Slug)

Don't know who had good days at teh arcade during the 90's but share em if ya don't mind.

I seek nostolgia...

So it took you how long to beat TNMT in Time? <img src=" title="Laughing" />
Seriously, it took me quite a bit of money just to finish all by myself, but playing alone was rare. Everyone I knew was on it back then in my country.
Batman Returns wasn't hard in the least bit. Maybe when I was 9, yeah, but wow. Was it the car chase scene that was hard for you? I don't remember.

If you said that it took you 20 years to beat Street Fighter 2 or Final Fight, then maybe I'd believe you.

As for me, I remember playing the siht out of Killer Instinct.

K-k-k-killer Combo!

I beat SF2 when I was Very young. Sf2 was never a problem for me. (At least till I got to fight Sagat and BISON!!!)

Well I've only played TMNT 4 back when I was VERY Young (Lil Lobo) back at the local Mazzio's Pizza Parlor. but they took the game away when I was around 4-7 and I never got to beat it. I didnt get to play it again till last year (Age 17).

I didnt get to play teh SNES games alot. they belonged to my cousin and we rarely played one player games. So I never got to play Batman Returns alot. But I did always die either durring teh fight with Catwoman or After. (Car chase).

lol me and my little brother beat TMNT 4 in 29 minutes. A game that I couldnt find in the arcades after the early and mid nineties or beat.

It took us 30 minutes... It felt like a bit of a slap to teh face... Fuckin Konami...

Now I need to beat Carnevil!

Lies! Sf2 was never a problem? C'mon, that game was as hard as ever! And I know I don't suck. <img src=" title="Razz" />

On an unrelated note, I just noticed that I spelled "Shit" wrong in my last post. <img src=" title="Laughing" /> Whoo, I'm soooo funny. <img src=" title="Very Happy" />
What about BattleToads? Anyone played that?

Area 51 used to be at my local laundry place back then. Some jerks who were playing messed with the 1P gun so everytime I wanted to get a clear shot, I had to aim a centimeter off to the left.

Bastards.

It wasn't for me. I never had too much trouble with fighting games. I'd kill all with Ryu or Ken and if times got rough.... Break Out Chun-Li.

Just Beat' em Ups were teh games that gave me trouble and racers...

Area 51 was avalible with Maximum Force as a Dual Cabnet. I played it last week... My god the motion acting is so bad but today's standards. but back in the 90's it was state of teh art.

We HAD a Carnevil here in Montana, I always remember having trouble with MK when I was young.

I just tired to play it. But playing carnevil in Texas at midnight is never a good idea.

You either get La Cucuy! or The ghost of a Rodeo Clown... I kid you not.

Mortal Kombat was the 2nd game i ever did play. 1st being Supah Mario World.
