Nikolette Tessla Vs. Cristina Amarillo

Nikolette couldn't do much to avoid the shove as she fell onto her back. She panted for breath, exhausted from the chokehold. She felt her legs wrapped upand suddenly pain shot through them. "Graaah!" She growled and slammed the mat. She huffed as she winced, looking at Cristina through one eye. The submission hurt, but at least it gave her time to catch her breath. She looked around to see how close they were to the ropes. In their tumbling it looked like they had gotten close and Nikolette desperately reached out to try and grab one.

Cris pressed her weight down as she pulled her opponent's legs up, keeping the hold as intense and painful as possible, but didn't notice that Niko was close enough to the ropes until the referee came in and tapped her shoulder, starting to count. She relinquished at once, standing up and slowly backing up towards the center of the ring, waiting for her opponent to face her again. She wiped her brow, drenched in sweat, and the crowd noted with delight how her chest heaved from breathing.

Nikolette crumpled in exhaustion as she felt the hold break. She played panting for a long seconds until the ref warned her to get up. She panted as she used the ropes to lean against to try and catch as much breath as she could. "Dunno bout you but I'm pretty beat." She said with a grin. "Don't think I can go on too much longer but I ain't out of it yet." She brought her hand up and pulled off the top of her overalls to let them hang on her sides, revealing a sweat soaked white shirt of her own, sports bra peaking through it a bit. "There we go." She said as she rolled her shoulders back. She then charged forward and aimed a punch right at Cris' chest to try and stun her.

"Same," He replied crisply, still breathing heavily as she bent into a half-crouch and waited for Niko to come near, planning on slipping to one side and returning the favor with a smack to the back of the head that would hopefully disorient her enough to let Cris take her to the mat and try on yet another punishing hold, probably an armbar again.

Nikolette saw the side step coming but was too tired to do much to it. She yelped at the punch and fell to her knees. She pulled her arms in close to try and keep the arm bar away but she found herself unable to evade and gasped and winced in the painful hold.

Cris worked the armbar as if she were trying to break it or just rip it free of her opponent's body, eager to make this the last move. The referee moved in closer, sensing that now there might be an actual chance of submission. "Come on," Cris said intensely, "Just give up." Her feet pressed harder and harder, the Mexican's powerful legs tired but still potent and deadly.

Nikoletewinced in pain at the armbar. She was tired and wasn't feeling to great anymore. Though she felt like she could withstand the pain, it was really gettign to her. She huffed and collapsed against the floor. "I guess you can have this one." She said as she wince and then tapped the floor indicating her submission. "Just don't have much more fight in me tonight." She said disappointed in her self.

Cris relented before the referee could even get on her case, tired and relieved, falling onto her back and staring up at the tall, brightly lit roof high overhead. All of her focus and adrenaline seemed to evaporate in moments, leaving her with a thundering heart and an aching body. The crowd got worked up and cheered, apparently impressed by how both girls had pushed themselves. "Shit," She said breathlessly, rolling her head to look over at Niko. She didn't really know what to say, and so kept silent as the ref knelt to raise her hand into the air.

A two-win streak so far. Cris was beginning to feel more confident about belonging here, but she knew there was a long road ahead of her. And, if every match was like this, she didn't know if she could hump it.

"If it helps, you messed me up, too." She finally told her opponent, grinning.

Nikolette panted as she slowly tried to get up, crawling over to the ropes to try and help herself up. "It was a good match." She said with a grin. "So no worries." Taking a few moments to collect herself she would drag herself out of the ring and slowly move out of the arena.

Cris took about a minute to recover, but eventually managed to pick herself up and leave as well, waving tiredly to the roaring masses of fans until she reached backstage, found her room, and plopped down to pass out for a while.
