Cross Promotional Tag Match: Akamatsu' s vs. Irish Amazons

Alaina was doing well or so she thought. Makie had ran around her and peppered her with offense, leaving her largely at a disadvantage at the start. Now right when she thought she was redeeming herself she was again proven wrong!

Alaina groaned and staggered back, stunned by the unforseen blow and left hobbled, doubled over and limp legged as she tried to cradle her abdomen in her arms.

Kyo heard Alaina gasp loudly as he hammered her with his shoulder. He had taken an early lead, but he knew better than to let up against someone with Alaina's power-- constant losses against powerhouse females had taught him, by experience, to not let up against them. Standing back upright, he grabbed at one of Alaina's arms, and turned, whipping her towards the ropes.

In typical fashion, he would run at Alaina as she came bouncing back, feigning a clothesline...that is, until he spun to the side, aiming to put some of his judo experience into play by grabbing at the Amazon's wrist and hopefully flipping her hard onto her back!

Alaina's humbling continued as she saw Kyo telegraphing a clothesline, and she readied a counter to just such an attack! However,r that wasn't his actual choice of offense as he showed a good deal of finesse, grabbing Alaina and tossing her hard to the mat! She groaned and grit her teeth, wincing in pain upon the landing. She rubbed the low of her back and tried to sit up, feeling even more embarrassed than before. Both her and Peggy were being shown up by the siblings by far and large in front of the Tension crowd. They had to show them that Friction was serious, not just a collection of women playing in the ring!

Alaina tried her best to get up to her feet, knowing she had to be vertical. Unfortunately she wa also wary that Kyo was in position to try to mount more offense to continue his momentum and she had to be on her guard.

As a sharp contrast to the tough time Peggy had given him, Kyo was off to a really good start, using effective maneuvers and technique to bring the fearsome Amazon down! Even so, she was still fighting game, moving to get back to her feet. Keeping her down was going to be a continuous effort, he knew, given Alaina's strength and stamina. Thankfully, he was more than up to the task.

Moving in behind Alaina as she tried to sit up, he once again grabbed a hold of one of her wrists, moving to expertly twist it behind her back, while sliding his free arm under her chin, digging a knee into her back as tried to lock in a dragon sleeper! He had no illusions about KOing Alaina at this time, but knew that the sleeper would slow her down, as would the effort of escaping. Hopefully, from this position, she wouldn't be able to use her strength as effectively against him.

"You may be powerful, Sanders-san," he said, "but I know how to deal with power."

Alaina knew she was in a bad spot once she felt her wrist grabbed and the knee. Instinctively she shot her free arm up to wedge it between Kyo's constricting arm and her own neck to help lessen the impact of the sleeper! She grit her teeth pushing out to give herself as much breathing room as she could! "Good for you, but that won't be enough!" Alaina said as she pressed with all her strength to keep his arm away from her throat while trying to maneuver her feet underneath her to stand up and try to intertwine them with Kyo! She knew it would be hard to hip toss him without a free arm but she could try to make him see that the hold wasn't going to be as effective as he hoped and force him to abandon his tactics.

Kyo almost got the dragon sleeper locked-- almost. Unfortunately for him, Alaina wedged one of her arms in there at the last minute, preventing him from locking in the sleeper completely. Kyo cursed under his breath even as he tried bending Alina back in the dragon sleeper-- the Amazon was just not having it, and he found his grip decreasing as she grabbed for his wrist. He was quickly forced to transition to a rear naked choke just to maintain his grip. Exertion lined the faces of the two wrestlers' faces as it became a test of strength as one fought to keep the hold applied, the other to break free.

In a contest of strength, Alaina was inevitably going to win: Kyo felt her leg sliding around his, and before he was hip tossed over onto his butt. He gasped, wincing as pain shot up his tailbone, and tried to roll away before Alaina could capitalize.

Alaina gasped as she was finally free. The amazon staggered a bit, a hand on her chest as her breath fully returned to her. Kyo was not going to be an easy one, that was for sure.

Alaina took the time to back off and recover allowing him to get up to his feet. She kept her eyes on him and held her hands up, ready to resume. She had to soften him up, going right in for something when he was ready was foolhardy. As the amazon stepped in she would lower her right fist, swinging it upward as she tried to connect an uppercut to his jaw!

Kyo had expected an immediate follow up attack, and so was quick to roll to his feet. To his surprise, however, Alaina was maintaining her distance, raising her hands to signal that they would resume fighting instead of rushing in at him. Watching her, Kyo nodded. The Amazon had the measure of him now, and wouldn't be making the same mistakes twice.

Alaina rushed in again, and Kyo was expecting a grapple-- that is, until her fist rocked across his jaw. "GUNH!" he grunted, the blow spinning him around almost sending him toppling to his hands and knees as he stumbled away. "Uunnh..."

Alaina saw him stumble back and grinned. An opening. Exactly what she had hoped for! The amazon moved on, reaching out to grab hold of Kyo and pull him close. Alaina bent down to try to lift him up high and if all went well she would bring him down hard across her leg back first for a back breaker!

That last hit from Alaina had literally been a sock in the jaw, taking Kyo completely by surprise and leaving him reeling. His lower jaw throbbed with pain, and he held onto it, swearing he could feel it bruising. It was a wonder that Alaina didn't fight in Momentum, that one innocuous blow had almost floored him...and come to think of it, he had heard somewhere down the grapevine that Alaina had had repeated run ins with Carmen Rodriguez...

He tried to turn back to Alaina, but she was already on him, grabbing a hold of him. Before he could even strike at her in self defence, he was lifted up, almost effortlessly, and brought crashing down back-first across Alaina's outstretched knee.

"AAAAAH!" Kyo screamed, jacknifing off of Alaian's knee and tumbling to his side, his lean upper body arching as he clutched his back. The audience watched tensely as Kyo now lay at Alaina's feet. Up until now, it looked as though Kyo had suddeny been single-handedly carrying the match for Team Akamatsu. Now, just like Makie, it looked like things may have been turned around again by one decisive blow from Alaina...
