Akino Sanada vs. Peggy McIntyre

Peggy was in shock, shaking her head as she was lift up and over the smaller maid! She let out a cry as she dropped down, slumping to the mat in a limply as Akino held her down!

"TWO!"

Peggy may have been knocked out or damn close to it. She didn't struggle as the count continued.

"THREE!"

On the outside Alaina sat back, shaking her head. Peggy again controlled a match only to lose at the last second again. She kept shaking her head speechlessly as the debut of the more driven, more fit Peggy coupled with the unveiling of the tag team attire failed horribly.

Peggy was heavier than Akino would have hoped for, and she was far more unruly and difficult to wrangle down for a pin than she anticipated, but so far nothing about Akino's wrestling career or her life in general had been easy. So why would this be any different? Whether she was stripped down to her frilly lingerie in a humiliating handcuff match, submitted twice in succession to someone she truly despised, or nearly being brutalized into early retirement by another muscle-headed Amazon...Akino had no shortage of pent-up aggression to fuel one final comeback. Which burst forth by countering Peggy's powerbomb into her own patented finisher, Akino gritting her teeth and leaning heavily forward while still maintaining the pin until the "THREE!!" count came.

Akino unseated herself from Peggy's face and slumped forward immediately afterward in abject exhaustion. The surly maid sweating profusely and breathing haggardly into the canvas to the tune of her entrance music echoing in the distance, not looking at all like the winner of this unexpectedly climactic match with the twist ending. No one expected the one-eyed maid with the losing streak to tarnish the debut of the Amazonian tag-team, but even she herself wasn't quite through yet. Akino sluggishly shuffled up to her knees while coldly rebuking the referee's offer for a helping hand back up before glancing over towards the defeated red-head. She crawled over towards Peggy until they were within earshot.

"...*pant*...Know what I said about not sending you to the hospital?...*pant*...Well guess what...you just changed my mind." Akino than yanked bank one of Peggy's arms until it was snugly fitted between her thighs before collapsing to her back beside Peggy. A callous armbar being applied well after the match was over, the strain on Peggy's arm growing with every second...

Peggy was out of it, hearing Akino speaking but not being entirely sure of what she was saying. However the armbar brought her back into focus as she howled in agony, reaching over to try to grab hold of Akino's arm to pull on it, attempting to do something to alleviate the pain! "AHHHHHHHHH! L-let go! Ya already humiliated our fuckin' day isn't that enough!?" Peggy screamed loudly.

Meanwhile Alaina had seen enough, she was down at the announce table, shaking her head and sighing at Peggy having blown another match she could have... and should have won. Akino's assault was too much. Alaina got up and ran towards the ring, sliding in underneath the bottom rope. Keeping her eyes on Akino the amazon made a dash for her, trying to run in low and slide a dropkick aimed right at her face!

Akino's callous application of a potentially career-shortening maneuver wasn't done purely out of spite, though that was a decent contributing factor. It was more meant to be a message sent to anyone else who had made her life a miserable joke around here that things had changed and she was not meant to be taken lightly anymore. It just happened to be Peggy's rotten luck that she was going to be the regretful messenger. Akino tightened her thigh muscles and stiffened Peggy's arm to an excruciating degree...

"Oooph!"

...before a last-minute save interrupted Akino's fun with a sliding baseball kick that had her tumbling and rolling out of the ring. She landed upright but slipped down to land on her rump in her backpedaling retreat, the surly maid briefly scooting back up the ramp with her arms shuffling behind her before hauling herself back to her feet. She directed her scowling attention on the other Amazon looking down on her from inside the ring as she made her hasty retreat. As irritated as she was from Alaina coming to rescue her partner, a part of her was pleased it turned out this way. Alaina, the Amazon who almost ended her career, was someone in particular who she was sending this message to you. And she was glad to see Alaina received it.

Alaina glared up the ramp at Akino shaking her head. After their match where Alaina had gone too far she had met with Akino, made amends, helped work with her.... what the hell went wrong in her head?

Peggy groaning and slowly moving brought Alaina's attention elsewhere for a moment. "Different outfit, better training... n' I still fuckin' blew it. I had her n' I managed to blow it again. I am the..." Peggy began to say before Alaina cut her off.

"Peg you didn't ruin anything or blow anything. She pulled off a great counter and caught you off guard, it happens to everyone at some point. Don't beat yourself up Peggy, okay?" Alaina said quickly as she helped Peggy up. She knew that people immediately began calling Peggy the "weak link" of the newly formed tag team despite them not having any action yet. Alaina saw the potential in Peggy and knew it wasn't true. Peggy just... well Alaina had no idea how Peggy had lost so many close matches that she was in control of until the very end. If it was a mental block it was up to Peggy alone to really sort it out, but Alaina would help however she could.

Peggy remained silent, accepting the help up. She felt like she made the teams announcement, appearance and everything fall to ruin. She lost when she should have won. She looked bad. She made Alaina and the team look bad. She stewed in silence as the two women slinked up the ramp in defeat.
