Josey Wales vs. Athena Wonder

Josey's kick slammed into her opponent's chest. When the crowd saw Josey charging across the mat, the doubted that it was inevitable. After all, Athena was a charming woman, filled with moxie and spunk and all of the pointless words that people used to pretend that small folks were big. Josey knew the deeper, more fundamental truth. The more brutal creature usually won the fight, and Josey was a raging bull, a vicious rattlesnake, and a merciless hawk all rolled into one. If nothing else, Josey was going to be the most savage one in the ring.

The Outlaw followed through, and then wheeled around. Her eyes glowered with hatred, and it did not even take her a second to decide on her next move. Josey brought her leg up, the strong leg that had just slammed into Athena, and then sent it straight down. And again. And again. Stomp after hellish stomp rained down on the woman below her, and Josey was holding nothing back. To do so would be to disrespect herself.

Not only that Athena was downed upon taking the kick to her chest, but as she writhed in pain on the mat, she then received multiple stomps from Josey, gasping and crying out in agony each time the Outlaw's boot slammed down onto her. Stomp after stomp rained onto her, leaving the Eighth Wonder no chance to gather her thoughts and wits in order to fight back against her ruthless opponent.

Still, Athena was a veteran. She had been in this business for years, despite her hiatus. So, things that should have been something that one had to consciously do had become something instinctual for her. After taking quite a few of those vicious stomps from her opponent, Athena would try to catch the descending foot of the cowgirl, grabbing it with one of her hands, hoping that she could tug at it so that she could make the Outlaw lose her balance, sending her crashing down onto the canvas while she was at it!

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. The sound of boot on flesh was not a pleasant one. The faint hearted among the audience turned their heads to try and not deal with the acute brutality that was before them, but there was no escaping it. The echo of her actions reverberated around the arena. Even the squeamish had to bear witness to that. There was no joy, however, on Josey's face. The usually brutal woman did not enjoy the viciousness. It was a means to an end. A devastating, final, ultimate end.

And then the universe shifted. Something grabbed her boot, and threw her terribly off balance. Josey had already lifted her boot up for the next stomp, so there was no way in hell that she was not going down. As if in slow motion, the Outlaw started plummeting towards the earth. The best she could do was throw up her hands to try and catch herself before she fell flat on her face. It helped her avoid a lot of the damage, but she was still on the ground. And that was probably exactly where Athena wanted her, she thought.

Athena managed to throw Josey off-balance by grabbing her foot, though she managed to catch herself before she could fall flat on her face. But, this should be enough for the Eighth Wonder as she would rise up back to her feet, grunting a little after taking blows after blows from the cowgirl earlier. She was still holding the Outlaw by her foot, and Athena decided that she might as well take advantage of this while she was at it.

After getting back to her feet, Athena decided to make use of what she had at the moment. First, she would step over Josey's leg that she was holding, keeping the leg between her thighs before she would slowly lower herself while still holding the foot. From there, Athena would start twisting and wrenching her leg by her ankle, using the ankle lock submission hold on her, hoping to weaken her even further so that she could stand a chance against the Outlaw. In the meantime, Athena would try to recover from the pain she took from her opponent.

Athena had not caught a tiger by his toe. No, she caught a very angry and hurting Josey, but the results were all the same. Josey was going to be riding the white mat until Athena got done with her move. Josey tried a kick, but the surprise of the situation meant that it did not accomplish much. Instead, the Eighth Wonder of the World got her submission move in nice and tight, and Josey, for lack of a better word, was screwed.

The ankle lock was hellacious. Josey had a lot of power in her legs, and it was slowly being drained now. The Outlaw was a hard rider, but this one was an exceptionally hard ride. She gritted her teeth and tried to power through it. The only downside was, Athena seemed to want to power through this one as well. So here Josey was, a tiger in a cage...

Athena thought that she finally got Josey in her clutch, and she would ensure that if she couldn't get a submission out of her, at the very least she could severely weaken her so that she could finish her off much easier later. She would wrench the cowgirl's leg by her ankle, trying to rotate the foot past its limit, looking to cause intense pain in the affected area.

"If you can endure this, you can just tap out, kiddo," Athena quipped, still keeping Josey in the hold. Still, from the look of it, the Outlaw was so stubborn and refused to submit to her. So, after keeping Josey in the ankle lock for a while, she would finally release her, hoping that the pain should be enough to severely impair the cowgirl to become an easy picking for the Eighth Wonder.

Josey was in a tight spot. Really tight. At the moment, her foot was exploding with pain and her glowering red eyes were forced to squint. The crowd saw what color her teeth were, and the cowgirl hated every second of it. She felt the power draining from her powerful leg. Every single moment of this represented a little bit force she could bring to bear against her opponent, and she was not going to abide that.

She still had one leg that was free, and by god Josey was going to use it. Twisting, she launched a powerful kick at her opponent. Even if one leg was losing its power, the other one had more than enough power to sustain her wrath. And when the Outlaw made her fury known, she left very little back. If you wanted to catch a bucking bronco, you had better hold on for as much and as long as you possibly can.

Athena kept applying pressure on Josey's ankle, hoping that she could get the cowgirl to submit from the ankle lock. Then again, she figured out that someone like Josey wouldn't submit that easily to her, and it was made apparent as the Outlaw launched a sudden yet powerful kick right at Athena, and the boot was driven right into her belly, causing the Eighth Wonder to gasp as she released her hold on Josey's foot.

"Gaakhh!!"

Releasing Josey's foot, Athena staggered back, distancing herself from the Outlaw, which would give her enough time to get back up and recover. Wincing, Athena brought her hand to her aching stomach. It was a strong kick, one that almost shook her core though she had taken a much worse blow before. As she retained the distance between the two of them, Athena would try to recover, pressing her hand on her stomach to soothe the pain.

With a powerful kick, Josey had earned herself enough time to get up and get back in this fight. But against a powerful and tough woman like Athena, the cowgirl was going to be taking no chances. She rolled once, twice, to purchase herself some distance from the large and powerful blonde. Reckoning that she had gotten enough distance between herself and her foe, Josey rose up from the mat. The Outlaw had lost some energy, and had won herself some pain. But still, the fire burned in her belly and the black rage she bore burned in her red eyes.

The Outlaw spread her legs, and crouched down. The second act was over. A third, a fourth, maybe more were coming. This was only going to become more and more of a tragedy, lest the violence become comical in its excess. Josey was willing to push that particular limit. Like a cannonball exploding from the finest artillery piece that silenced the Indians of the Old West, Josey rocketed forward. If her fatigue bothered her, she did not let it show. The whirlwind tore straight towards her opponent, and she launched a kick from the very leg that Athena had just locked up. Despite the fact that she knew it was going to be nothing but painful, she wanted to show the woman that the submission hold would not deter her.

But it was going to hurt.

The pain eventually dissipated, but Athena had given Josey enough time to recover, and she had to start all over again. Seeing the Outlaw taking a stance, the Eighth Wonder would prepare herself for her as she would carefully observe her to see what she was going to do next. When she saw Josey charging towards her, Athena prepared herself, her muscles tensing as she braced herself for her opponent's attack.

Seeing Josey trying to land a kick with the foot that she twisted earlier, Athena couldn't help but admire the cowgirl's tenacity, but she was prepared this time. Seeing the foot lashing out at her, Athena would try to catch it, using her hands to soften the blow as her boot struck her at her abdomen. Wincing from the powerful blow, Athena would tighten her hold around Josey's ankle as she would pull her back, making her move forward in order to make her lose her balance.

From there, Athena would try to deliver a knee strike right into the back of Josey's knee before trying to throw her down into the mat, hoping that the strike would weaken her even further.
