Haruka was staring at the inside of her locker almost like a zombie. Her head hurt like hell, but it wasn't why she was staring. Her mind was far off elsewhere. And not a happy place.

She hadn't changed out of her purple two piece yet. She was still somewhat covered in sweat, even though she was holding a towel. At least at that moment she wasn't crying. But she really wasn't far from it. It was hard to keep it all in, especially lately. Without the anonymity of her personas, all she could ever judge was herself. And it wasn't something she was proud of.

It was all in a days work for the wrestling prince as he had put another common opponent down. After taking a short press conference to gloat about his victory over someone insignificant, he made his way back towards the locker room. Still in his black wrestling briefs and boots. On the way he saw a very familiar figure, it was Haruka...the opponent he just beat. She seemed lost as she stared at the inside of her locker. "Hm?" he said stopping mid way. She didn't speak at all during their match, he was curious what was up. He sighed and shook his head before walking up behind her, giving her a tap on the shoulder "Still haven't hit the showers and changed?" he said, raising his eyebrow

Haruka heard Daisuke come in, and as lost in thought as she was she couldn't ignore him. He flattened her in the match, and even though Haruka had bouts of momentum he always seemed to just shut them down with his strength.

Here was a successful, talented, and attractive young athlete. He had all three going for him. And she had none. She turned to him, eyes watering already. He had six inches on her, so she had to look up at him. All these thoughts rushed through her head of how he was an example of a tension athlete. And how she was just, as he described, common trash. “It's not fair…” she muttered under her breath, only the second thing she had said to him.

Daisuke told her what any opponent after a match would have, to hit the showers and get changed, call it a night. He expected some trash talk and he would shut her down by claiming he proved her wrong by beating her but when she did turn around her eye's were wattery and she simply said its not fair. "Hmm what do you mean?" he sighed, before looking at her "Its not fair that I am the better wrestler? I already told you that before....you shouldn't be all that surprised" he said to her softly.

It wasn't exactly what Haruka was talking about but it was close. And still relevant. “You are…” she conceded to him.

It wasn't fair that he made it look so easy. She tried so hard. Trained so long. And yet she couldn't do anything. She always failed. No matter her opponent, her matches inevitably ended with her on the mat defeated.

You are the better wrestler,” she repeated, choking up and leaning her head forward to look at the ground. How could he not be?

Daisuke smirked, perhaps his taunts were really getting to her mind more than he had thought. He simply stood there, when she spoke out he knew what the words were going to be. He put his hands on his waist and got ready for it and she finally admitted it. "Hmph, ofcourse I am. The sooner you realize that the better, it'll hurt less...knowing you lost to a better wrestler......there's no shame in it really," he said with his nose held high.

Haruka stared at the ground. Maybe he thought there was no shame in it. But she didn't see it that way. There plenty to be ashamed of for her. “You have everything. Your strength, your skill, your looks,” she choked up again, covering her eyes with her left hand. “And I have none of that. How am I supposed to compete?” she continued, her voice getting smaller and smaller.

Her voice was getting really smaller, she was struggling to find her voice as she kept on going. Daisuke knew she was about to burst into tears "Well....I do have everything, thats why I am the best. You are supposed to compete....but the wrestling industry has a special place for you, not everyone can be a winner.....if you know what I mean" he talked to her, not really trying to comfort her but trying to open her eyes to the truth.

She was a loser, was what Daisuke was getting at. A nobody. Someone's who's purpose is to make others look better. Maybe he was right. Maybe that was her only real use.

It just wasn't fair. Haruka looked up, her eyes still teary at Daisuke in front of her. Here was a handsome, tall, strong man. An easy contender. And she was just this untalented, small, unattractive woman. What chance did she have in this league? She said nothing, her eyes drifting down Daisuke’s physique for a second before rising back up to his own eyes.

He noticed she kept looking up at him, inspecting his physique with her teary eyes before looking right back at him. He said nothing for a while as the two exchanged direct eye contact with each other. "Hmm, well...I can at least let you show you how it feels to be with a winner, you put up a good fight. Don't sell yourself short..." he said stepping in, his index finger touching her under the chin as he lifted her head up before leaning forward, looking to kiss her on the lip as a consolation prize.

Haruka’s thoughts might have wandered a bit, but she was not prepared for what Daisuke did next. Her face flushed red as he leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. She looked at his closed eyes with surprise, before she felt herself melt into the kiss herself. Her eyes shut and she kissed him back, her hands meekly rising to rest on his pecs. Her hands then found themselves rising up his shoulders to the back of his neck, gently holding onto him.

He gave her what she wanted a taste of victory, he leaned in pulling her face up with a gentle flick on her chin before diving in- kissing her lip gently. She seemed to accept it with open arms as her eyes were shut and she began to kiss him back. Her hands resting on his pecs and then moving up to grab his shoulder and the back of his neck as the two shared a moment, kissing each other. "Mmmmm...." he moaned as their bodies pressed up against each other once more, but not in a grapple this time. His hands going up and brushing her hair back gently

As Daisuke brushed her hair back, Haruka felt goosebumps along her skin. She wanted to ask the man a question. But from his actions, she already knew the answer. She gently pulled his head back from hers and looked into his eyes. Her own watery gaze had dried slightly, but it was replaced with another look. Her hands drifted down his shoulders, biceps, and to his hands. Lightly latching on, the woman stepped back, pulling Daisuke towards the showers. She wasn't forceful or hasty, but she made it clear where she was taking him. All without saying any more words.

The two kissed deeply as Daisuke let out a slight pleasurable moan. Finally she pulled his head away from hers to part with his lips as she looked him in the eye, no more filled with tears. Her hands tingled his skin all the way down to his wrists as she stepped back, pulling him and he was in a trance. Following her in the showers without saying a word as well "......."

When it was clear the prince was indeed following her guidance, Haruka felt her mind rush. Thoughts flooded in and out and her heartbeat rose suddenly. She could hear her own breathing as she gripped Daisuke’s hand slightly tighter. He didn't even say a word. The woman pulled Daisuke into the shower rooms, her mouth creeping to a smile. Something she hadn't done in months.

When she got home that night, the smile was still there. She dumped her gear on the ground and made for the fridge, starving. On the top shelf was some leftover cold Korean noodles, which she reached for with her left arm. She hissed when she grabbed the bowl, and put it onto the table with a thud. Her smile didn't fade, even if thanks to Daisuke, now her left shoulder hurt as well.
