Belated Apologies

Sun Mar 26, 2017 9:58 am by Clobber Jobber

So, I'm not super fond of doing non-match threads because it messes with my organization, but I feel I owe everyone an apology. I just kind of up and dissapeared for, what, a few months? With the exception of one wave of posts, I've been super quiet, and a lot of threads have been held back because of me. So, I'm sorry to everyone about that, and I'm going to at least get another wave in.

To explain myself a bit, I've had a few things going on that slowed me down. For the first couple months, …

Looking for debut matches/RP's/microphone exchanges/Gym sessions/What have you

Sun Mar 26, 2017 6:14 am by JohnnyFlash

Hey gang!

According to our wonderful administrator Person I am happy to report that both Buzzy Armstrong and Johnny Flash have been deemed acceptable. Woohoo!

Logically, the next step would be to get their proverbial balls rolling with their respective debuts. I am interested in any kind of match, promo segment, gym meetings, backstage elbow rubbings, or whatever else have you with either of the two boys. I could always just do an open promo but I am up for ideas and story building with …

"Unngh..." Chris groaned out as Valley draped herself over her chest. Aside from that and her continued breathing, the former Wrestle Angel might have been a doll, with such little life she was showing.

The ref yelled out "Two!", the crowd joining in as they willed Chris to stay down!

”3…!”

Valley almost didn’t believe the count when she heard it. Chris was such a dominating, powerful force, both with the Wrestle Angels and her time in the AFW. How many people could claim a win over her? Not many, and it had been a good while since her shoulders touched the mat for more than two seconds. The idea of a shrimp like her pulling it off went beyond reason.

And, yet, there it was. Reality, far stranger than fiction.

The crowd broke into a frenzied applause, accolades for both the blondes, as Valley rolled over to her back and flopped down beside Chris Morgan - her friend, her rival, her opponent. She kept her eyes close, taking in the moment, but she didn’t leave the crowd hanging this time: her hand shot into the air with a thumbs up, a silent thanks for their support.

”Good match.” Valley reached over and patted Chris’s shoulder. ”Good, good match.”

Chris came around as the bell was ringing signalling the end od the match. The loud noise of the crowd helped bring her into full, painful consciousness.

Wait, the match was over? Did she....lose?

Opening her eyes, Chris turned her head to where Valley lay, her thumb up for the crowd the look of a victor about her as she lay back, her eyes closed.

Chris had lost.

Despite her belief, and determination, she had lost. The image of the unbeatable guardian of the Wrestle Angels was shattered. Rage began to bloom in her heart, despite herself. Valley had ruined her plan, ruined everything!

You little...you ruined everything! Panther Risako's words, screamed in fury at Suzumi Ishikawa after losing to her, before beating her mercilessly came to Chris's mind. The image of Risako's face, twisted in rage, flashed for a moment in her mind's eye. Chris looked at her right hand, shocked to see it clenched in a fist.

No....I'm better than this!

Quickly, she relaxed her fist. Valley's touch brought her out of her internal debate as her friend told her 'Good match.'

For a moment, Chris wished she was young again. Young and just starting out. Because Valley was right. It was a good match. Her friend deserved to relish this win. And Chris should be satisfied with having taken part in such a contest, not worrying about the fallout for losing was going to be, even though it was a good loss.

"Yeah....yeah it was. Jesus, you've gotten really good." Chris said, reaching up and patting the hand at her shoulder. "Also, you successfully defended the Slamazon's title, Val. Which is good....I didn't make any room for it at my place."

She gave a wry but exhausted grin.
