The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel Empty The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel

Ace's new look:

Holy Shit. This was actually happening.

Holy Shit. Holy Shit. Holy Shit!

After years of being a fan, first discovering AFW and becoming an Angel fan by watching her Summer Splash match with Akashi, she was not only best friends with, but now FIGHTING her idol in the ring!

Holy Shit!

Ace looked in the mirror, finishing applying her current layer of face paint, the blue and white matching her outfit, with a little cut out on the center of the chest and new boots, Ace tightening up her fingerless gloves, before running a hand through her blonde hair. While the outfit had been something her partner and girlfriend Valley had thought up, going with her natural blonde hair had been her own decision.

While her name had been a gift to her from Silver King, something she'd always use, she hadn't started dying her hair silver till after she became a fan of Angel, as a tribute to the woman she idolized.

But now, she wasn't facing Angel in the ring as a friend, or partner, or buddy. She was fighting her in the ring as an opponent, an equal. The choice to go blonde was to make that very clear from the start.

Finally, she was ready.

As the crowd buzzed, eager to see what was coming up, they cheered as the lights darkened, and a voice started playing of the P.A. System.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2..."

The countdown led into a brief drium beat, lasting a couple seconds before a split second bass riff kicked off the main guitar, while at the same time, twin pyro explosions occurred on either side of the stage, shooting up bright flames as the lights came on and Silver Ace ran out onto stage, clad in her new outfit, white waist coat with blue flame design on her as she raised her fist up, the combination of the Rush song, the pyro, flashy entrance, and Ace's general popularity resulting a roar of approval as she came down the ramp, slapping the hands of various fans and singing along to her own theme.

"Polarize Me...Sensitize Me...

Criticize Me...Civilize Me...

For Ace, everything, her entire career, all the trials and tribulations, had been building up to something like this. The harsh reception she used to get from the crowd, the criticism from other wrestlers like Taylor and Akashi, having to learn about this new country and its fans as well as learning what AFW expected and had in store.

She went around the ring, slapping more hands before climbing up the ring steps and entering the ring.

Compensate Me...Animate Me...

Complicate Me...Elevate Me...

Gaining and losing and regaining Valley Doll, winning and losing her title to Gwen, finally discovering an identity for herself in the ring with her face paint and uniform, getting her mojo back and now fighting her idol, an AFW legend in the ring.

Ace stood on the turnbuckle, throwing her fist up one last time for the crowd as her awesome music, a true representation of her career, faded out, the blonde taking her jacket off and carefully laying it outside the ring, bouncing back and forth on her feet as she waited for Angel to show up.

The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel Empty Re: The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel

Post by Alexandra Fri Mar 18, 2016 4:22 am

As Ace's music died down, the arena went quiet, the air devoid of noise save for a light murmur of the crowd as they waited for Angel to arrive. Almost a full minute went by before the lights of the arena dimmed, the rhythm of Angel's ever-familiar entrance theme beginning to fill the air. The crowd's murmur began to rise, swelling for a full fifteen seconds, until the lyrics to the song kicked in, and Angel stepped out from backstage, causing the audience to go from a buzz to a roar of applause and cheers and screams. It had been a long time, too long in most people's minds, but Angel was back, finally back in the AFW, where she belonged, where she had always belonged.

She stepped out from backstage and onto the entrance stage, her head hanging low, her eyes closed. Her body was covered in the long robe that Carmen had gotten her for her birthday the year before, black with blue trim, with her name sparkling on the back in big, glittery blue letters. The hood was pulled up over her head, covering her from sight, no part of the Latina visible aside from her glove-covered hands and a few errant strands of hair. She stood in the middle of the stage, unmoving, soaking up the crowd's applause and attention.

This was it. She was back. This wasn't how she wanted to make her return, not against Ace of all people, but she was ready. She couldn't hold back against Ace, and she had already warned the girl that she wouldn't be holding back, but...it still irked her. She still couldn't believe that the higher-ups were making her fight Ace for her first return match, and part of her still thought it was a joke, but she had gotten over it. She had already decided that she would treat Ace like any other opponent. No mercy, no holding back.

Angel stood there for almost a full minute, before her head snapped up, her hood flying backwards at the same time. Her arms flew straight up into the air, and her robe slid backwards off of her body, falling into a heap on the stage behind her, revealing the returning Latina in full to everything in the audience and watching at home...

Spoiler:

...which, of course, caused the audience to burst into louder cheers, and Angel had to admit, it felt good. It was nice to know the crowd was still into her, even after all of her time gone.

As her robe fell off of her, Angel focused her gaze on the ring, staring directly towards her friend and her surrogate sister. She raised her arms up, taking a moment to tug on each of her gloves, making sure they were tight on her hands, before beginning her walk down the ramp and towards the ring. As always, every step was full of her usual confidence, and splashed across her face was her usual cocky, sure-of-herself smirk. There was no fear and no hesitation in any of Angel's movements. If she was worried at all about being rusty or this being her first match back, she certainly wasn't showing it.

When she approached the ring, she lunged onto the apron, slithering like a silver-haired serpent under the ropes, quickly climbing back up to her feet. She looked towards Ace, giving her a single, knowing nod, and then turned to her corner, stepping towards it with a few quick, easy steps. Her music began to fade out, and the crowd began to go quiet again, as the Latina started to do a few light stretches, keeping herself warmed up and limber as she waited for the bell to ring and for her first match back to begin.

The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel Empty Re: The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel

Post by Old_Man_Tai Fri Mar 18, 2016 9:43 am

Ace, shadowboxing and hopping on her feet, nodded back at Angel as she stepped in the ring.

During the wait for the bell to ring, the crowd grew restless, starting a loud and sustained "ANGEL! ANGEL! ANGEL!" chant, the former World Champion getting a deserved applause from her loving fans. Meanwhile, Ace just tried to calm the butterflys in her stomach. This wasn't some ordinary opponent, or even a bigger name, this was Angel. This was the girl that had the longest and greatest Friction Title reign in AFW history. This was the woman that main evented more PPV's than anybody in AFW history. This was the only woman in YEARS to defeat Taylor Parker clean and she did it twice.

She was the best damn wrestler AFW had ever seen, and she was standing across the ring. It was impossible NOT to be nervous...but, Ace reminded herself, Angel was still a woman. She could be beaten. She HAD been beaten before. It had happened before, and Ace could make it happen again. She'd have too, if she wanted any chance of making it to the top like Angel had.

Finally, [i]Finally[i], the bell rang to signal the start of Angel's return match, Ace moving to the center of the ring, arms outstretched, willing and ready to start things up by, in what most would call a rather bold gesture, willingly offer to grapple her idol.

As the bell rang, Angel stepped forward to meet Ace, eyeing the younger girl coolly and carefully. She wasn't particularly worried about the match itself, so much as she was worried about her own ring rust. She hadn't had a proper fight since the previous year's summer, and even that was barely a real wrestling match, and more of a big brawl between two enemies.

She watched Ace as she raised her arms, and with the lightest of smirks, the Latina raised her own arms to meet her. She gave Ace another nod of approval, then lunged in, meeting the blonde head-on. As soon as they connected with the grapple, Angel would start to push again her, trying already to overpower Ace and force her backwards.

It was clear to Ace as soon as they locked up that Angel had a power advantage. While they were probably close to equal in upper body strength, Angel had more powerful legs, giving her better lower body strength, Ace finding herself slowly pushed back step by step.

Needing to change things up before she got put in the corner, Ace grabbed Angels arm with both hands, trying to twist herself behind the silver haired wrestler and twist her arm behind her into a hammerlock.

Angel pushed into Ace, locking eyes with her, watching her friend closely as she shoved against her. The strength difference was obvious, and with every step she forced Ace to take, Angel pushed that much harder, waiting to see if Ace would have an answer to her simple overpowering motion.

Then, just like that, it came, Ace twisting behind the Latina, jerking her arm behind her in the process. Angel couldn't help but smile at the quick counter, the ends of her lips turning upwards as Ace slid behind her, but she wasn't going to just stand there and let Ace lock in her hold.

As soon as Ace began to twist her arm into the hold proper, Angel reached back over her shoulder with her other arm, trying to grab Ace by her shoulder. Then, she would sharply lean forwards, trying to flip the blonde over her shoulder and to the mat in front of her.

With her last several fights being against crazy bitches like Amethyst, strikers like Abattoir, and bigger girls like Alaina, facing someone with traditional mat skills was an experience she hadn't had in some time, leaving her at a disadvantage.

"Woah!"

Ace yelped, Angel quickly tossing the girl to the mat with a snapmare, leaving her on the mat, taken off guard.

Ace went down, and Angel was quick to follow her counter up.

She took a short hop towards Ace, and dropped down towards her body, going to drop her elbow down into the girl's midsection. It was nothing fancy, and nothing showy, but sometimes the simplest attacks were the most effective, and until she had felt Ace out more, she didn't want to try anything too big or risky yet.

While a snapmare made for a good counter, it wasn't all that effective or devastating as an offensive move.

As a result, Ace was quick to roll away once she saw Angel in the air, the face painted fighter just barely avoiding the latina's powerful elbow drop attempt.

Hopping up to her feet, Ace tried to follow up on Angels mistake with an elbow drop of her own.

Angel didn't have time to react as Ace rolled out of her way. She barely had time to even realize what had happened before her elbow slammed into the canvas, sending a wave of pain up through her arm.

With a soft curse under her breath, she began to scramble back up, only for Ace's elbow to drop down and slam right into her back as she tried to rise. The Latina yelled out, forced back down to her belly on the mat, wincing from the sharp impact. Shit! she thought to herself, lying there for a brief moment before trying to push back up to her hands and knees, quite obviously moving slower than before. Inwardly she was cursing herself for her slip-up, cursing herself for getting so rusty and making such a dumb mistake, especially against someone like Ace.
