Rodents at a Cafe

It was a nice and bright Saturday, and the weather was gonna be great today, warm and sunny all day! A great day to be outside in the park.

So the weather app had said.

Gail scowled at her shitty piece of mobile gadgetry. She looked out the cafe window to the downpour just beyond the glass barrier. Not that she even needed to look, the constant clacking of little hail pellets was perfectly audible inside. She'd been taken by the sudden storm, her outfit ruined. Well, not ruined ruined, more like, just uncomfortable to wear. She was nursing her overpriced cup of crappy creamed-down coffee, while more and more people filled the cafe. "Well, that's today down the drain then..."

Shuffling through the busy sidewalks, Conza covers his head with his arms, trying to get to some sort of shelter during this crazy weather. It wasn't even supposed to hail today! At least, that's what the stupid weather app said...

He ducks into the nearest building to escape before it got worse. At least he wasn't soaking wet, just a bit. He panted a bit, looking around to see that he was in a coffeehouse. The small man decides to get a coffee since he was here.

It was hard to pay attention to the other people crowding up the store, there was just so many of them. Taking another glance out the window, Gail sighed, she'd be in here for a bit, wouldn't she. Another one ran in, he seemed like a middle schooler? Probably not native to Japan though, judging by the hair color. Maybe an exchange student? Or a stepchild? She kept glancing his way, while she thought about it, running a few likely possibilities...

And just as Gail would start to wonder, a woman approached Conza. If Gail could hear through the crowd, the woman would speak: "Oh my gosh, aren't you Conza?"

"Y-Yes. I am."

"Can I have your autograph? I love seeing your matches.'

Conza seemed a bit reluctant but sill signed a paper for her. "Yeah. A lot of people like watching them." The woman kissed his forehead and left. Conza then received his coffee

Obviously, Gail couldn't hear anything the short man or the woman was saying, halfway across the shop, and probably ten person-lengths away. But she could see him handing her a signature... and her kissing him. His mother? Nah, she seemed more or less her age. An older sister maybe? Gail's brain kept trying to make connections off the fragmented bits of information she'd seen, not coming to any logical conclusion...

Well, in such a case, the only thing to do was to come on over and talk directly to him... if she could just slip by the rain-soaked crowd.

Conza began walking towards any empty seats he could find in this place. Even if it meant Gavin to sit with someone. Hopefully not a fan or someone else who might know who he was. The last person he didnt know by they knew him, took advantage.

But, he sees a woman sitting alone. He walks up to her and points yo the empty seat across from her. "This uh...Taken?"

To her mild surprise, the rather short boy was coming towards her. "Hmm? Oh, no, go ahead." Gail said, waving to the seat. Now that he was so much closer, Gail noticed that she sorta recognized his face... So he was either a minor celebrity, or another wrestler here... By the odds of things, though, it was almost certainly the latter.

"Man, this weather, right?" What a creative way to start a conversation!

Conza gets up on he chair. He set down his coffee and sighs a bit. He took a sip from the cup and made a slightly shocked and delighted face. "Ah...Good coffee can be found somewhere."

She would spark conversation with Conza and he looked to her. "Yeah...I wasnt prepared. This stupid weather app predicted rain." He pauses to look at his phone. Putting it away, he looks to her again. "I am Conza, by the way."

The coffee wasn't all that good, but the middle-schooler looking guy seemed to like it. Well, Gail wasn't really one to judge coffee, generally sticking to the instant stuff, or the canned stuff from vending machines.

"Well if it told you it was raining, maybe you shoulda brought an umbrella?" Gail raised an eyebrow. "Conza..." Nope, not a name she recognized. "I'm Gail. And I'm willing to bet that you're a wrestler like me?"

"Its wrong a lot of the time, so I just blame myself for not preparing..." Conza takes another loving sip of the coffee. He hears that she didnt recognize him. Someone who didnt know him? "Maybe its because you are from Friction?" He asks in a non-offensive way.

"Us, I am a wrestler. Though, not a very good one."
