Fighting Style: Nobu uses a highly unconventional style based around comedy wrestling. He’s a comedian and prankster at heart, and though he’ll use the most basic of suplexes and strikes when needed, generally he will just do whatever he thinks will make himself/the crowd laugh in any given situation. This often involves some sort of cheating tactics. Low blows, eye pokes hair pulls and everything else are to be expected with him in any match, though he always aims to do them in ways that will get the crowd laughing. Being the trickster he is, rather than using speed or strength to defeat his opponents he will usually try to outwit them beat them with various types of quick rollups.

Finishing Moves:

Akakiri: After finding some way to distract the ref (unless it’s a match with no DQs), Nobu will hit his opponent with a low blow of some kind to double them over. And while they’re hunched over, he’ll wrap one arm around their neck while hooking the other around their leg, then roll them onto their back for a surprise pin attempt.

Personality:
First and foremost, Nobu is a comedian, prankster and trickster. Whether he’s in a match or not, he’s almost always looking for another laugh, often at the expense of others. Still, Nobu is a kind-hearted and fun loving guy. He treats life like it’s all just a big game that's all about having fun, and the same goes for his matches. He takes very few things seriously. And though that’s brought him many defeats even prior to coming to AFW, he doesn’t care as long as he has fun.

Past:
Nobu always loved two things: comedy and wrestling. Those were the two things he watched and followed most growing up in Kyoto. But, though he did work out fairly regularly to stay in shape, he never got into any sports or had any athletic training. So, he assumed a wrestling career would likely be out of reach, and tried to get into standup comedy instead. But his taste for slapstick comedy didn’t quite translate as well as he wanted on stage. When comedy didn’t work out, Nobu decided to take a gamble and went to wrestle for the smallest of the small indy leagues in Japan.

He rarely won his matches, but Nobu quickly realized the ring was a perfect place to hone his talents for physical comedy. One opponent after another defeated him, but only after enduring a myriad of pranks and antics that got the crowds laughing every single time. Despite his dismal win-loss record, Nobu’s popularity grew enough that bigger indie shows hired him, and he started to compete in front of larger crowds. Having found a way to combine his two passions felt like a dream come true, but when he heard of an AFW tryout camp taking place, he knew he had to go.

Nobu was far from the most technically gifted wrestler there, so he was both shocked and elated when he was given a contract offer with Tension! He understood the sole purpose was so the beautiful women on the roster could have a new fool to dominate, but his career to that point had hardly been any different. More money, bigger crowds, and the opportunity to wrestle gorgeous women for a living. What was there to think about? He signed in a heartbeat, excited to start the next chapter of his career.
