Valérian waited in the wings for his music to begin. He was wrestling for money, for the first time. And, through some finaggling, he had managed to let his first match be a hentai match. After what seemed an eternity, his music hit. The upbeat tones of an old band from his home island gave him a bit of confidence as he walked out for the first time, broadcast onto TVs across the world as the viewers wondered... "I thought this guy was a boy!"

Nonetheless, the rather friendly crowd cheered him on has he cautiously made his way to the ring. He hoisted himself into the thing, and walked around. The ring was taunt yet bouncy— great. Hopefully, that would mean that it would hurt a little less to land hard on. And now, it was time for his opponent to make her appearance. Another good thing about this hentai match— it was with a girl. He liked guys as much as the next fairy, but there was something about girls that just gave them a very slight edge over dudes.

As the young Saint-Pierriasian made his entrance, a similarly boyish young woman fidgeted backstage. Maija knew she'd have to take some matches to make ends meet until she found her brother, and she signed up for the works knowing full well what she was getting into… but she didn't think her first match would be one of AFW's infamous hentai matches. Surely, they'd want to start a rookie, even one as handsome as her, with something a bit more standard. She let out an amused sigh as she thought about the kind of life her older brother seemed to have chosen for himself.

She didn't have too much time to ponder, though, as the retro instrumentation of her opponent's theme died down, and the wild hip-hop energy of her own theme filled the stadium. She entered the arena with a brisk jog, doused in the screaming adoration of virtually every female fan in the audience. She wasn't sure if they didn't know that she wasn't a dude, or if they just didn't care… and she wasn't totally sure she wanted to think about it. They'd probably find out either way, anyway.

Or… maybe not. Maija didn't consider herself a proficient wrestler by any means, she had only even started practicing a few months ago, but this cute little number she was up against seemed even scrawnier and more nervous than she was. She was hoping, if it was good to be a hentai match, that her opponent would be a guy… but this opponent of hers was still pretty cute. She could do with this. And there was something else about them, something… strangely alluring.

In any case, she was eager to get this through and done with, so she just bounced on her heels in her corner as she waited for the bell to start.

Wait, Val could have sworn he was facing a girl. Well, he supposed that didn't matter, because the boy currently making his way down the ramp was super cute. He would be a fun first match— just like Val, he didn't look too scary, and in fact looked pretty nice.

As Maija entered the ring, Valérian decided to be nice and greet her. "Hi there!" he said, in his high pitched, French-sounding voice. "It will be fun to wrestle you, mon ami!" he said, stretching a little to prepare for the coming (hehe) battle.

The more that Val looked at his soon-to-be opponent, the more he liked him. He was lithe, like him, had cute, short hair, a soft face, a nice smile... all things he liked in guys. And now he'd have the privilege of wrestling such a cute dude. Cool!

Maija's almost manic preparatory bouncing came to a gradual halt as she was addressed by the person across from her, in an even more androgynous voice than she was expecting. She also wasn't expecting to be addressed at all, she figured they'd just fight, fuck, and part ways, but the niceties were actually a very welcome surprise. "Um, hi," she responded with a blush, waving timidly before trying to return to her battle stance. Her bashful response only riled up the ladies in the audience even more, which mostly made Maija all the more self conscious.

Soon, though, the starting bell rang, and she wasted no time charging forward and throwing a dropkick Valérian's way.

Hey, maybe this guy liked him! He seemed kind of nervous about speaking to little ol' Valérian, and that made him feel kind of good, in a way. Val considered the thought a good one, and kept thinking about it as they bell rang. He realized too late that Maija was running towards him, and his eyes widened as his chest took the force of a running dropkick.

"Ughuuh!" he grunted, immediately flattened and pushed into the post, which he slid down a tad, and groaned. He was leaning his back against it. Well, it wasn't off to a good start, but he was still confident that he could take down and, uh, fuck this guy. He just needed to get back up, which wouldn't be hard. Hopefully.

Getting up and going might not be a task on its own, but Maija wasn't going to make it easy for him. Climbing to her feet after the dropkick, she charged the turnbuckle and threw punch after punch into his pretty little face. Some fans booed the almost unsportsmanlike brutality directed at such a delicate little… person, and Maija felt kind of bad, but it was the only way she knew how to fight. Hit them until they can't hit back. She finished with a kick to his midsection before grabbing his shirt and pulling him away from the corner.

Maija was tougher than she looked, almost to the point of being mean. Val absorbed a volley of punches into his face, bruising it a little. It seemed that he was totally at her mercy, and they were only seconds in. Admittedly, it wasn't the way the little French-speaking trap had wanted the match to have started.

And after Maija was finished brutalizing the dazed boy's face, she topped it off with another kick, knocking any and all wind out of him. "Phuuuh!" he wheezed, as he was grabbed by the collar. No, no, he wasn't just going to roll over like this! Desperate not to get hit harder and again, he bit Maija's wrist!

"OWWW!" Maija yelped as her effeminate opponent clamped onto her wrist. It certainly deterred her focus, and soured her mood somewhat (though she tried not to take it personally by reminding herself she was pounding this little scamp's face in only moments ago). Still, it hurt a lot, and if she could get free in any way, she'd go for it.

"Lemme go, you little-" she growled, squirming and tugging to break free. By the time she was actually loose, she was more focused on her hand with tears eyes than, more wisely, her opponent.

The small pleasantries from the beginning of the match seemed to have gone completely, as the love-y match had turned nasty quick. Val hoped that the cute guy still liked him, even after what he just did. "S-sorry..." he apologized, getting to his knees and then realizing that Maija was distracted.

Well, might as well. Valérian lunged at the injured Finn, aiming to grab her by the ankles and take her down! And if he did, he'd mount and begin to wallop her face not too dissimilar to what she had been doing to him a tad earlier. His bite had already caught him a few boos, and he doubted that this would improve his standing.

Welp, there went that early match momentum. Before she knew it, Maija was on the floor getting walloped in the face. Hitting the mat stung her tailbone enough as it was, but each punch to her face burned and throbbed all at once. She threw up both arms to protect herself, bending her head down a little as well.

Although she gritted her teeth through the pain, she did feel a slight adrenaline surge at the thrill of the fight. If she could only get her opponent off her for just a moment…
