Rematch: Morrigan Vs. Valley Doll

Morrigan watched as Valley stumbled away and regrouped. Her purple eyes stared down the blonde but as Valley tried to goad her into continuing the fight, Morrigan smiled. The referee had been counting and if they fought to a doublet count out then nothing would be settled.

Morrigan shook her head and then slipped back into the ring and hopped up, prowling close to the ropes and daring Valley back, giving just enough breathing room to question whether or not she could get back into the ring without Morrigan jumping on her.

"7!"

Craaaaaaaap. Valley blew some of her pink-highlighted hairs away, as her glare turned to frumpled look of annoyance, as Morrigan slipped back into the ring and stuck close to the edge. She'd been so busy wallowing around in pain that she'd almost completely forgotten about the referee's count. Unfortunately, her opponent wasn't so careless. "Really, Morrigan?" She canted her head to the side. "Really?"

"8!"

Even though this was only the third time they'd met in person, Valley felt she understoond Morrigan enough to know that there wasn't any question about if she'd attack, but how. The only way to not get clobbered was to get counted out, and she flat out refused to have that happen with anyone.

She looked over her shoulder and nodded to audience, who seemed to be thinking the same thing

"Go get her, Valley!"

"You've still got it!"

"Hurry!"

The Slamazon sighed, did a quick dash, then slid back in under the ropes fast and rolled to her feet in one smooth motion, right before the referee could hit the final count. She locked on Morrigan as soon as possible, getting ready for what was coming her way. She'd probably have to eat whatever it was, but at least she'd see it coming.

Morrigan grinned as Valley spoke. She fought clean, for sure, but there was nothing in the rules about letting your opponent get in the ring. At least, once they were clear inside.

As Valley was getting up, Morrigan leaped up and aimed a boot at her shoulder, looking to stomp her right back down into the canvas with repeated strikes.

Yup!

Sure enough, the moment Valley got in the ring, Morrigan had a fresh salvo of stomps all lined up and waiting for her, hammering her hard in the back with wild brutality. She flopped around and jerked about on the mat with each one, taking a solid three hits and gritting her teeth after every blow. Morrigan had heard her scream enough already.

Before the fourth could land, Valley rolled over to her back and reached out, trying to wrap her arms around the foot as it came down and hold on for dear life.

Morrigan's fourth stomp was cut short as she had her foot grabbed. At a momentary standstill, Morrigan grabbed the ropes to stabilize herself as she met Valley's eyes. She had some choice words, but she left them in her head. Instead, she tried to just drop down and hit Valley with a knee instead.

When Valley grabbed Morrigan's foot, she didn't have much of a plan in mind, really. Her thoughts were mostly focused on just stopping the pain and getting at least some advantage on her opponent. Now that she'd succeeded in that, her next step was getting back to her feet, but the wily Irishwoman was ready to put a stop to that.

"Guh!" Valley sputtered as the knee hit her chest, drilling her back to the floor. She flopped around on the mat, rubbing the spot on her sore ribs where Morrigan came crashing down. The damage was starting to pile up, and Valley found herself rolling towards the corner, sitting up against it for some support.

The whole time, though, her eyes stayed focused on Morrigan. Her offense was pretty basic, didn't leave much room for exploitation, but if there was even one opening she might have a chance to get back in. She just had to be patient.

Morrigan stood up after clubbing Valley with her knee once more. Every hit was satisfying and she knew that she didn't need to be fancy or complicated to beat someone's face in. It was the simple things in life that were most enjoyable, after all.

She trudged after Valley as the Californian crawled to the corner and flopped down. With a smirk, she lifted her leg and tried to push it into Valley's face to painfully bend her neck and spine while giving her a face full of boot to chew on.

Thanks to a life in athletics, Valley had a lot of flexibility to work with, but that flexibility would only take her so far. It was being tested as Morrigan's boot forced her back further and further. She grabbed at Morrigan's ankle, gripped it hard and pushed away, trying to alleviate the pressure, but it wasn't nearly enough. "Enjoying yourself?" She grunted out the words as best as she could with a boot pushing against her cheeks.

Around the arena, Valley could hear some clapping start up, as her fans began a steady chant. It wasn't much at the moment, but it was growing stronger with each passing second.

"Valley! Valley! Valley!"

They expected her to bounce back any moment now, and she didn't intend to disappoint them.

"Sure." Morrigan said. with a grin as she fought against Valley's grip. Not as much as she would when it was finally over, but she was sure that might come soon enough, even as the crowd began cheering for Valley.

Morrigan yanked her foot backwards going with the force of Valley's push and then jerked it back to shove it in Valley's face enough to get the blonde to release her foot. Morrigan then reached for Valley's hair and tried to pull her out of the corner of the ring and into a head lock, trying to keep wrenching Valley's neck, the way Valley had worked on her back.

”Enjoy it while-” Her comeback was cut off as Morrigan’s heel slipped past her defenses and dug into her chin, forcing her to let go altogether. More wasted energy. Great.

The respite that came afterwards was brief. Valley growled as her hair was yanked and she was hauled out of the corner - partly from the pain, partly from anger, and partly from just being annoyed. In times like these, she found herself wishing she had a bit more weight and upper body strength to work with. She could think of ways to power out of the stuff Morrigan was doing, but most of them required a force she simply didn’t possess.

Even though she was pulled into a strong headlock, Valley saw this as an improvement. She was on her feet, where she did her best work. The headlock wasn’t pleasant, but it was better than getting stomped into a corner, and she was seeing some potential to escape. While she brought one arm up to pull away at the hold, her other arm went on the attack, throwing a couple of quick, sharp elbows into Morrigan’s side.
