Mindy vs Daisuke - Rumble at the Gym!

"Four... five..."

Mindy was lying on one of the benches at the Tension gym, silently counting in her mind as she continued her workout. Above her body, a heavily loaded barbell was held tight by her hands, rising and descending slowly as she flexed her arms and pecs. Mindy was no stranger to the bench press, one of her favorite exercises; in fact, she was feeling so well earlier that she'd thought she might break a personal record today.

But, alas, it seemed like this wasn't going to be a peaceful chest day. The gym was unusually busy today for some reason, and a handful of people had even gathered around the wrestling ring to watch a particularly heated spar. And, of course, they did so with cheers, yells and other assorted noise, which were all quite distracting. When you're trying to lift over two hundred pounds of iron above your head, concentration becomes more important than ever. "Eight... wait, was it nine? Man, not again..."

For the third time in the day, Mindy lost count of her repetitions, finishing her set with the feeling that she hadn't done it right. She sat up, letting her muscles rest, and gave a quick look at the annoying audience around the ring. She didn't know what exactly they were doing, but they were certainly having a better time than her. She just hoped that they would wrap it up soon...

It was unusual for the wrestling prince, Daisuke Takeuchi to be hanging around the Tension gym but whenever he did- there was always bound to be some sort of trouble or rather, there was always an opportunity to make a big scene about something.However, this time, it wasn't the wrestling prince's arrogance that lead to the drama but it was the ego and pride of both sexes. That's right, earlier today in the Tension gym there was some argument about how female's shouldn't wrestle males and how they should have different leagues, that lead to a couple of heated spars and argument which turned into something bigger, a crowd was gathered around the ring. Male's on the one side and female's on the other side, the people busy during their workout all came to the commotion and picked their side, all but one who was busy concentrating on her workout!.

"ONE......TWO.......THREE!!" *DING*DING*DING

A loud cheer erupted from the girls camp as they cheered the female winner, while the boys camp groaned in frustration. The neutral announcer then called the score out "Alright, Yuki-chan beats Ryu-san which levels the score up for the two sexes. It's girls 25 and boys 25, now we cant let that slide can we? I believe we have time for one more match to decide who takes the tittle as the superior sex in the battle of the sexes contest" the announcer tried his best to create the hype, after five matches the score's were now level, each match was for 5 points it would seem.

The wrestling prince was sitting on one of the benches, grinning and chuckling at the little contest, but as he saw an opportunity he got up on his feet. "Alright you pathetic losers, I guess it's up to me to preserve male dominance and how fitting....that a prince would settle the debate" he grinned while stripping down to his grey wrestling briefs and digging into his gym bag to take out the rest of his gear, putting on a gear of black leather wrestling boots and matching elbow pads.

The male crowd was rather stunned, Daisuke was an actual Tension star and if he get's in the ring, he was a sure winner! This got the male crowd excited and started to tease and taunt the female crowd, while the female crowd needed to find a star of their own- at the moment none would step up to Daisuke.

"D-Daisuke-kun? Erm....I guess we have our first contender for the final match" the announcer said as Daisuke rolled inside the ring and moved to his corner, he started to do some basic pre-match warmups. Stretching at the waist, loosening up his shoulders and bouncing on his heels while stretching his neck. If no one would step up, it would mean an automatic win for the guys.

The girls started to panic, weighing their options as they kept asking around but all the somewhat experienced wrestlers had their turn already and were too tired to go again, their hopes then turned towards the only girl that had ignored the commotion from the get go. She looked strong and certainly able to pass off as a wrestler "Hey you!" said one of the female representatives towards the girl, trying to get her attention.

Mindy's heart fluttered a bit when she heard the three-count. Did that mean they were finished? Honestly, part of her just wanted to go ask them to tone it down, but she wasn't confident about facing a big group like that all by herself. She didn't want to come across as confrontational or anything... hopefully things would now calm down without her interference.

As she thought this, however, one of the girls noticed her presence, and their eyes met for a moment. "Hey you!"

Mindy sat up straighter, startled. "Who, me?" Of course it was directed at her, she was the only one not around the ring! Had they seen her glaring? "S-sorry, I didn't mean to look at you funny..."

"Never mind that, just come up here! We need one more person to wrestle the boys and show them who's boss here!"

"...huh?" Mindy was taken by the familiar feeling that she was being dragged into other people's business. "Um... I don't know if I want to get involved in that... I have a workout to finish," she said, trying to deflect the request politely.

The female team turned their attention towards the only girl who seemed totally uninterested in the commotion, but they looked at her physique and her workout regime and assumed that she too was an AFW superstar, so it would be fitting if two official wrestlers in the roster would wrestle it out for the deciding match. The female representative hurried over to the girl and asked her to follow her towards the ring, however the girls response was rather disappointing as the female camp began to groan in disappointment while the guys laughed out loud. The girl named Yuki, who had came over to this unknown girl stomped her foot on the gym floor.

"W-wha? what are you talking about? D-dont you want to defend your fellow females? We've not been wrestling against the guys for nothing you know! we cant let the guys bully us around and tell us they are better than us. What's your name anyways?" she said in a serious tone to try and convince this girl.

Meanwhile, Daisuke rolled outside the ring and casually walked towards the two ladies as he brushed his hair back and had an arrogant grin on his face. "Oho Yuki-chan, looks like you're not getting any help out of this one. I guess it's a real shame....looks like male truly is the stronger sex, atleast we aren't afraid of a little competition" he said in a low arrogant tone, bumping his knee against the girls to taunt her a bit.

Yuki was a bit pissed at Daisuke's actions, she glared at Daisuke first "Daisuke-kun......" and then looked back at the girl, giving her the same look"Come on, you're not going to let him get away like that!" she tried to convince this girl, the entire female camp buzzing and trying to encourage her to stand up, while Daisuke just gave her a look that brimmed with arrogance. "Besides, no sweaty muscle meat head of a woman can beat the wrestling prince" he snarled, egging her on.

"But you're the ones arguing with each other... I've got nothing to do with this!" This was what Mindy wanted to say, but beore she could do it she was taken aback by the size of the commotion from both sides of the feud. Girls groaned and pleaded, guys laughed and taunted. She was quickly becoming the party pooper here, and she wasn't even part of the party! Despite having an imposing physique, Mindy was remarkably bad with this kind of social pressure. "I... uh-"

And to top it off, there was this guy in briefs next to her - her to-be opponent, probably? It sounded like it, by how much he was trying to rile her up. Surrounded by all sides, Mindy was finding it harder and harder to think straight. Fight or flight? Fight or...

"Besides, no sweaty muscle meat head of a woman can beat the wrestling prince."

"FINE!" Mindy exclaimed while standing up, with a volume that even surprised herself a bit. "That was uncalled for. I haven't started sweating yet." She turned to the girls. "My name's Mindy. I just have to spar with this jock, right?"

"Atta girl! Yes!" The female camp now burst into cheers, having finally recruited their new champion. Mindy sighed internally. Oh well, at least sparring was a good workout. She then turned to Daisuke, hands on her hips. "I'd like your name, and an apology. No need to be rude!"

She would have had a good point, Mindy had nothing to do with the arguments that had commenced in the gym earlier on, however peer pressure along with taunting can sometime's make people do what they dont want to do, get involved with stuff they surely would rather want to avoid. As solid as her physique was, her will was rather fragile as she was already starting to crack under pressure.

Meanwhile, Daisuke was trying to push her buttons. The wrestling prince taunted his potential opponent trying to get her to agree to a match, beating her to claim victory for his side would be much sweeter than a walk-over victory by default. It seemed that the combination of Daisuke's taunts and the female camps pleading caused Mindy to finally get up to her feet and accept the challenge. She was rather fired up for the challenge or fed up with all the commotion around her, which never really concerned her in the first place.

Now the female side burst into cheer and the girl that came over to Mindy smiled and patted her on the back before stepping back a bit. All eye's then turned towards the two champions, Mindy vs Daisuke for the bragging rights. The girl placed her hands on her hips as she looked back at Daisuke, asking his name and an apology. Daisuke stepped in and stood infront of her as the two engaged in the classic wrestling staredown, Daisuke glared right into his opponents eyes trying to get her to flinch if he could while the entire crowd gathered around the two in a circle, with Daisuke and Mindy in the middle as his forehead bumped into hers.

"My name is Daisuke, the only thing you're getting out of me is an ass kicking in the ring. Oh and by the way, you sure you havent been sweating? You could use a shower"he grinned trying to unnerve her and taunt her further, the wrestling prince was good at frustrating his opponents even before the match would begin. As he taunted her out, the male began to goad her as well going along with a "OOoooOOoooOOoooh".

Oh god, this wasn't going to be civilized, was it? Instead of apologizing, Daisuke acted even more assertive towards Mindy, walking into her to start a staredown and bump foreheads with her. "Wha- stay calm, stay calm...!" In any other situation, Mindy would have liked to dodge his stare, to step back and conserve her personal space... but right now she simply couldn't, not with all these people watching! She had to be at least as tough as him. "And you... you could use some manners!" She said, pushing back slightly against his forehead with equal parts of fake confidence and legit annoyance. The comeback itself wasn't that great, but it prompted the girls to get back at the boys with an "OOoooOOooOOoooh" of their own.

It was taking all her willpower to not avert her blue eyes from Daisuke's, so for the first time she was hoping they could start the fight as soon as possible - if only to put an end to this petty staredown. "But enough talking! What are the rules? We should just get on with it before I... get mad. Yeah." Damn, this tough girl act was tough.

The excitement was growing, the tension was growing in the gym as the two finalist glared into each other's eyes, entering a staredown. They exchanged some harmless banter, provoking a reaction from both camps as the girls and boys started to diss each other while Mindy and Daisuke pressed into each other's forehead to assert some pre-match dominance, their muscles grinding a bit as well, his abs smacked against hers as the two looked ready to go right here and right now, a female tried to pull Mindy back while a guy pulled Daisuke back to separate the two before things boil over, without realizing Mindy was rather acting to keep up with the crowd instead of showing a genuine tough girl attitude.

"Hmph" Daisuke grunted as he flexed his body and kept an arrogant posture to show off infront of Mindy and the other girls. Mindy did pose a good question , there was some whispering around both sides before a girl and a guy representative moved away from the crowd "Since all the matches were regular pro style matches, how about the final match be a little special? to say that without a shadow of a doubt who the true king or queen of the rings really are" they both said at the same time, this looked more like a promotional campaign for Tension rather than a fierce competition but some of the emotions were real.

"Fine, I can beat miss muscle head in any match, any time and any where she chooses, since she mentioned the rules.....I'm giving a full chance to choose her own match type to lose in. I dont care whether its standard, I quit, last MAN standing, three out two falls...you name it and I'll beat you IN IT" The wrestling prince continued his arrogant behavior as he tried to provoke his opponent.

After what seemed like an eternity staring back at Daisuke, Mindy was glad to be "separated" from him by a couple of the girls. Finally, some breathing room. However, it looked like her tough front had been slightly too effective, as both sides of the dispute were now more fired up than ever after witnessing her stand her ground.

Mindy raised an eyebrow at Daisuke's brash challenge. "So after forcing me into a spar, I get to choose that? Well, better than nothing." That said, she didn't know exactly how to make her choice: she knew nothing about Daisuke, his strengths or his weaknesses. She didn't see much difference in the options he mentioned, after all, a spar was a spar.

But if Mindy wasn't excited about choosing the rules, her supporters were eager to chip in. "Submissions only!" "No rope breaks!" "LOSER GOES HOME NAKED!" As the proposed stakes got higher, Mindy realized she'd better make a choice soon, or peer pressure would force her to go along with something extreme. "Alright. I choose two out of three falls, by pin or submission." She tried to put some authority into her voice, so that none of the girls would contest it with their own reckless ideas. Her choice was mostly pragmatic: she didn't know how strong this "wrestling prince" was, but she knew her own endurance, and she was confident she could get at least one fall out of him and save some face even if she lost.

Plus, it would give her the chance to beat Daisuke twice, possibly. His trash talking was starting to get to her already...

"Now, can we get started?" If unopposed, she'd make her way inside the ring and wait for Daisuke.

Both wrestlers were now separated, with Mindy being more relieved that they did so. Their fate was being decided as the crowd threw in their wild and wacky ideas, some to which even the wrestling prince opposed! "L-loser goes home n-naked?!?! What the hell?" he snapped at that absurd idea hoping that it wasnt the one that gets chosen, for all his arrogance Daisuke knew nothing about his opponent. She could very well be tough or just another jobber with a good physique, however when Mindy chose her match type- it was an interesting choice indeed.

Daisuke shrugged his shoulders and chuckled a bit "Oho, two out of three falls huh? Well thats perfect. I get to beat you twice and that way no one can say it was a fluke either, this makes it the perfect setting"the wrestling prince grinned arrogantly as he adjusted his wrestling briefs,fixed his boots and elbow pads."Fine lets get started then" he said, following behind Mindy as the two wrestlers rolled inside the ring and moved to their respective corners.

Daisuke still kept glaring at Mindy with that arrogant grin which impliedly meant "I will beat you". After stretching off for just a few seconds he spoke again "Oh, this wont be just some spar. I'm going to go all-out, like in the real ring" he said before the announcer got in the ring.

"Alright, this is the final match to end the debate. Mindy Priest vs Daisuke Takeuchi in a two out of three falls match- the winner's sex will be the winner of the battle of the sexes debate- male or female? Ready? WWWREESSSTTLLEEE!"

*DING*DING*DING*

As soon as the bell rang, Daisuke moved out of the corner and brought his hands up infront while taking a wrestler's crouch position to circle his opponent clockwise. A trickle of sweat dropped down his forehead from the pre-match festivities and tension, his positioning was a call out to Mindy, inviting her to lock up with him in a collar and elbow grapple to start off the match.
