SS 15 Rewind! Panther Risako Vs. Chris Morgan: Wrestle Angel Battle!

Risako watched as Chris eyed her, and slowly began to move towards her. Her back was on fire, and even as she forced herself upright into a more straight position, agony shot up her spine. This was definitely going to slow her down, she thought, and she cursed herself for being so sloppy and wasting her speed advantage so early in the match.

Chris was already in front of her, dropping down and grabbing the ropes on either side of her. Risako willed herself to move, but her body was too slow to respond-- Chris' shoulder ploughed hard into her firm midsection. "OOOPH!" she gasped, doubling over hard, her chest flattening against the small of Chris' semi-bare back. The move ground Risako's back further into the turnbuckle, causing her to groan at the agony in her back intensified.

Chris wasn't done-- another shoulder slammed into her gut, followed by another as Chris gave Risako a demonstration of her strength. Past the pain, Risako realized that letting Chris do this would very well cost her the match. Her steely willpower took over, and after the third spear, she cupped her hands, bringing them down on Chris' exposed back in an axe-handle. By this point, Risako's back would be a throbbing mass of pain, but at least this could buy her some breathing space.

Each gasp of pain, every groan of distress from Risako brought a sense of satisfaction to Chris. Finally, after years and years, she had Risako in front of her, and now that woman would pay!

So absorbed was Chris in getting her payback that she didn't notice her opponent raise her hands and clench them together above her head. The clubbing blow took her by surprise, rattling her and making her take a few steps away from Risako and the corner.

After rubbing her back, Chris would narrow her eyes and charge back towards the Queen of Queens. She attempt to try and body splash Risako, and slam her own body against her foe's, in an attempt to try and keep the Asian on the defensive...

Risako took a deep breath as Chris backed away, closing one eye as she leaned against the turnbuckle. Chris had gotten her good-- with her back in the state it was, she had no idea how well she'd be able to continue this fight. But if Chris thought a little pain was going to stop her from winning this match, then she had another thing coming. She had fought entire matches hurting worse than this, and Chris was going to have t step up her game if she wanted to beat her.

Chris seemed to realize this, and came charging back to slam Risako again. This time, however, Risako was ready for her, raising a leg so that the American would collide face-first with her extended boot. If this managed to stagger Chris, then Risako would launch herself forward, aiming either for a clothesline (if Chris was still facing her) or a headscissor takedown!

"Unngh!" Chris grunted out as she was brought short by a boot that was raised by her opponent. The blonde's face smacked solidly into it.

Putting a hand to her face to hold it, the American reeled backwards, dazed. She was completely open to attack, and it seemed like Risako wasn't one to let a chance to attack slip away. Chris was knocked down hard as the Panther struck with a running clothesline. Driven to the mat, face up, the blonde shook her head in a vain attempt to clear it while looking up at the roof of the stadium....

A shock ran up Risako's arm as it slammed into Chris' skull. The pain in her back was flaring angrily, but she put it out of her mind as she kept running, sprinting towards the opposite ropes and bouncing off of them. As she came bouncing back, she saw Chris still lying there-- with an angry yell, she would run forward, aiming to hurt Chris further with a leg drop across her face.

If the move connected, then Risako would be quick to follow up, dropping down and lying across Chris to hook one of her legs for another pin attempt..

Chris was starting to shake off the effects of Risako's offensive salvo. But before she could stand, or even sit up, the Panther came down with a sudden leg drop!

The Phenomenon's lower body jerked as Risako's leg came down on her head. The Japanese followed up quickly and hooked a leg, putting Chris in a pinning position!

"One!" the ref's voice rang out as she brought her hand down on the mat!

Once again, Risako had Chris wrapped up for a pin. Her gut instinct told her that Chris was going to kick out, that it would take more than a few blows to the head to keep the American down. And in all honesty, Risako hoped that her gut instinct was right: she wasn't done with Chris. This match was just heating up between them, and Risako wanted to be truly challenged and forced to work for the win against her old opponent, and she still had a lot of tricks in store for her.

"TWO..."

The ref had brought her hand up after the second count when Chris threw her arm up, bringing her shoulder off the canvas.

The ref held up two fingers, signaling the count she had given.

"Not....done with you...yet." Chris muttered through gritted teeth.

Just as Risako expected, Chris threw a shoulder up at the two count, breaking the pin and eliciting some small applause from the crowd. Risako's expression remained icy as she looked down at the American, kneeling over her.

"Neither am I," she replied.

And with that, she would shove Chris forcefully onto her front, before pressing a knee down onto her shoulder. Grabbing her arm by the wrist, Risako would twist it back and upwards painfully, punishing Chris with an armbar submission right there in the centre of the ring.

With her head still still ringing after Risako's assault, Chris was rolled over onto her front.

She looked up as she felt the Asian press a knee into her shoulder and grasp a hold of her arm. Chris was a veteran of the ring, and a quick glance was all she needed to know Risako was going to go a lock on the held limb. Sure enough, agony coursed through her arm, lancing into her shoulder. The blonde let out a loud yell of pain, her body stiffening in distress. She gritted her teeth, refusing to give Risako further satisfaction by screaming anymore.

The ref knelt by Chris's head, asking if she would give up.
"Never!" Chris snarled.

Not to her... she added in her thoughts, strengthening her resolve....
