It's finally here, Flyod Mayweather vs Manny Pacquai

So after 5 years in the making, the match is finally here. I know Mayweather will probably win but heck, go team packers

Looks like a clear thing in the news bulletin(118:110; 116:112; 116:112), but the same bulletin says that the winner was fighting very passive and the result is misleading.

Another typical Mayweather fight....whether it happened at midnight or 8:00pm, I wouldn't have blamed anyone for falling asleep.

Being aggressive isn't the same thing as hitting someone. Boxing is scored for effective striking, not attempted striking.

It went exactly the way I (and everyone else) thought it would. As a Pacquiao fan, and as someone who hates Mayweather with a burning passion, it was a let down, but one I was prepared for.

It's an effective strategy for gaming the scoring system, I'll give him that. Doesn't make for an enthralling match though.

Nope, Im having none of that. Mayweather was being a little BABY BITCH! What was that? He got 120,000,000 pounds for dancing around in 30 minutes? That was bs.

Pacman should have been more aggressive but I can understand how Floyds strategy restricted him. With all the talk he was going on about I thought both of them would go all out at each other but as the fight started, I quickly realized Mayweather only wants to get out of there without losing even if it means a draw.

He was always going to go for the points, he came with a bs plan but it worked for him extremely effectively.

Well hey, always remember that anything's better than Lesnar vs Goldberg.

I had a bunch of people over for it who got furious because I guess they haven't seen any of Floyd's fights in the last century and were expecting him to stand in front of Manny trading wildly and abandon the strategy he literally always uses. like, always. Even when he beats his girlfriend it goes to the judges.

And they say wrestling fans are suckers for getting frustrated with how PPVs go down.

What boxing fans are you talking about, flubs? You mean the people who saw boxing for the first time last night and were upset that it wasn't an action movie slugfest?

They're even more fun to be around when you're watching the stupid thing in a bar. One group of obnoxious assholes just yelling "HIT HIM! HIT HIM!" And the other one trying to explain boxing to people while having never seen or done it before. Without alcohol, they're at least quiet enough that I'm not privy to ALL of their idiotic conversations. ~_~


Edit: Also for TW and KC, it's not "gaming the system", it's a sport. It's a boxing match, not a street fight. And Floyd Mayweather hit Manny Pacquiao way more than Pacquiao hit him, so what's the problem?
