SQL Errors
Informe had a big SQL hiccup earlier today. You can see its aftermath in the fact that everyone's avatars seem to have packed up and headed for the coast.
To anyone who is unaware of this community's history (And I speak not as part of the old guard but as someone who listened intently to the lectures of the old guard), AFW has had a ton of abysmal luck with forums. While this is probably just a technical issue and not a sign of a coming apocalypse, it would still probably behoove you to familiarize yourself with alternative means of staying in touch as well as backing up what you write.
Personally, I myself use a Firefox Add-on called Save Complete Web Page to save properly each page I'm looking at. I have to do it one page at a time to a fight I want to save and, as a result, it doesn't update links. But it saves the forum pages as they look properly, which is enough for me. Any other suggestions are welcome, as this is still not a very good means of archiving. Plus, I only save fights I really could see myself reading in the future (I.e., the HOT ones. " title="Wink" /> )
I'm fairly sure we still have a Google group and a Yahoo group. I have also set up an AIM account for this site, Hawthorneafw. That comes with an email addy, so you can reach me with moderate reliability at Hawthorneafw@aol.com.
As I said, just make sure that should the board explode, it would not be catastrophic for you. Archive what you need. Ensure that you can keep in touch.

Re: SQL Errors
Upon a search of the informe support forum, it seems that the avatar problem is not just with our board but with a few others on informe... Hopefully they'll get this fixed.
But still it is always a good idea to back up what you can as Hawthorne said

Re: SQL Errors
Well, embedded pictures seem to have also been lost along with avatars. Only a few people embedded pictures rather than using photobucket or glowfoto, but on, say, Darius's Alena Saint character, the embedded image has vanished.
