Re: Topic: Wrestling?
It says a lot that they have to constantly remind us that Roman is having a match because Daniel Bryan talking is way more interesting than Roman Reigns in general.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
I know that they are sort of trying to make DB and RR both look like they are in a game of doucheman's oneupsmanship, but DB gets organic reactions from fans. RR just ends up looking like a tool. At this rate, they had BETTER have DB win at Fastlane. I think it will be good for RR too, because they can develop him as a heel. He's clearly not cut out for a babyface role, but I think he has a bit of promise as a d-bag heel type.
It's kind of weird that out of the three shield guys the one who has the most potential for being a face is Dean Ambrose >.>;;
NOT COMPLAINING THOUGH

What I think they should do with Roman is give him a manager, one who does the talking for him.

MY CLIENT, ROMAN REIGNS...yeah, if they build him up as a heel I think he has the potential to be a Paul Heyman guy.

They SHOULD build him up into a heel. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think he could shine as a heel a lot more then as a face. ~_~

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
OLE!
I'd love to see a resurgence of managers in WWE.
Good promos too.
Promos used to be like making steak. It took time, patience, and effort, but if you did it right (as many did back in the day), you could draw the audience in, hook them on every word, get them emotionally invested in the story you were telling and give them a reason to get attached to this guy, or hate this guy.
Then the attitude era came and people decided they didn't want to wait for steak, they wanted a big mac instead, short little nothing "promos" that usually just ramble before being topped with a catchphrase.
In 1985 we had Dusty Rhodes "Hard Times" promo, one of the best he ever gave. (Look it up)
and thats become 2005 John Cena yelling "THE CHAMP IS HERE" for 10 years straight.
He brings shame upon our families.

El Torito is the best!
They still have promos now, just not like they USED to. They aren't done as vignettes anymore. The first 15 minutes of RAW is reserved for "Promo time" now. That's more or less how it goes these days.

It hasn't been great. There's been a couple bright spots but overall it's been bland.
