Qi Lingxian vs Blaise Cameron

Qi didn't bother giving any words back to Blaise asking if she was ready, in her mind she always was in battle. Right up until her legs gave out under her and Qi could fight no longer, and also she was just wary of Blaise's attitude. Best to just get the match done and then leave, before anymore odd things started happening.

Ms Lingxian was thinking over what to do next, the pain in her chest from the dropkick was somewhat numbed. Although Qi didn't want to have to take another one anytime soon, thank goodness she was wearing two pieces of clothing on her upper body. And then Blaise offered a lockup attempt, Qi lifted an eyebrow in confusion.

But then she decided to try and oblige him, it wasn't something Qi was used to. But considering it involved the use of her arms, the ones that she had trained extensively in martial arts since she was a kid. Qi went for it, locking hands and taking the strain of it. The fist of compassion bit her lower lip, putting the strength of her arms to the test as Qi attempted to push Blaise back.

Ironically, Blaise wasn't looking for a test of strength. But once he found her fingers lacing with his, he opts to roll with it. Why not? This comes up rarely enough, and they have the potential to be epic. Given that it's this late in the match, he's looking at this as his way of putting on a good show. So now that it's a thing that's going to happen, Blaise is going to give it his all.

The young grappler squeezes Qi's hands and leans in, every bared muscle along his lean, svelte frame tensed and flexed. Elbows bend, and Blaise pours his full strength into the contest. There's no thought of being countered, no consideration that she might reverse this into a monkeyflip or any such. His mind is purely focused on pumping his raw strength against her, to force the girl into a backbend and begin walking her back towards the turnbuckle. Teeth grit, eyes locked onto Qi's, but there's no longer anger behind those blues - just the determination to give this everything he has remaining.

Admittedly, with his muscles sore and body aching, he isn't at his best. She's had a good time beating up on him this match. Depending on how much resistance she put forth, even if he wins this contest, he may be spending too much energy.

Qi hadn't done tests of strength all that much, she did one in her debut match and the one after that. But that was it, it wasn't something that was often practised in Beijing. Usually fights they were quick with punches and kicks, and until one person was left standing. Matches here though Qi found were more rule based, and she actually appreciated that as it fit with her honour.

Although in this lockup Qi was at a height and weight disadvantage here, as Qi was shorter. But that never stopped the fist of compassion from going up against bigger foes, in fact she kinda relished it. More of a challenge if Qi thought about it, and this certainly was one.

Qi was sticking her all into this, trying her best to push Blaise back as best she could. Lower lip bitten in grit, the fist of compassion was giving it her all. She could feel him trying to force her back, but Qi grounded herself as best she could. Until the time arose when Qi knew that Blaise might gain the ground over her, whereupon the fist of compassion would try to shove back even as she was moved back inch by inch.

It looks like it's going to be the latter. Blaise is leaving everything he has left in this test of strength, it seems. The streamlined tone of his arms flex and ripple, his breathing heavy and ragged, and each little step she takes back, he steps into. Even as she tries to push back, he refuses to relent. Arms burning, back aching, body throbbing from the match so far, this is quickly becoming his last hurrah.

Ultimately, should Qi find her back pressed into the corner, Blaise leans into her. And that's all he can manage to do immediately, his chest pressing hard into hers, face to face with the Chinese girl, weakened. His limbs feel rubbery and uncooperative - but he'd be pleased to've overwhelmed her, at least.

Qi had the feeling that Blaise was taking more out of himself than he should, granted he's pushing her back into the corner. But the fist of compassion was coming up with a plan, one that might help end this match in her favour.

She gave him a little bit of ground, every so often. Going back and back into the corner, some people might see that as a bad thing. But at least it meant that there was only way from then, and that was forwards. Qi looked at the corners of her eyes, seeing the ropes get closer and closer. Until she felt the turnbuckles right at her back.

Suddenly Qi would try to release her hands from Blaise's, moving to wrap them around the top ropes. Before suddenly bringing her legs up, and trying to blast them straight into his chest. Shooting them forth like pellets from a shotgun, it wasn't the end though. But if Qi was able to connect with this move, it could help set Blaise up for what she really had in mind.....

Blaise pushes and struggles with her, taking those extra steps as they were surrendered. And the moment he felt the turnbuckle give resistance behind her back, a smile touches his face.

'There we go.'

It's a small victory, but it's his. And that's all he's going to be able to claim now - he's pretty confident in that. He's fatigued, brought weary both by physical exertion and emotional strain. He doesn't have long to process this, though. While he was going to simply lean into her and try to recollect himself, a pair of feet thump into his pectorals. He's flung back to land hard on the mat, rolling over once to end flat on his back.

"Nng..?" His arms don't want to support his weight. The most he manages to recover quickly is propping himself on his elbows. Blue eyes widen to track Qi, wherever she's gotten off to, as he lies mostly on his back, panting.

Qi sent Blaise back with that pair of spring kicks, it was like a good old jack in the box effect. Again it did seem like waiting for the guy to get her in close and have him tuckered out was the right thing to do, even more so considering that now Qi had a direct shot aimed right at her.

Now was the time, the martial artist took some deep breaths. And sized Blaise up, waiting for him to stand back up. Qi crouched down low, sizing him up and getting ready. It was risky, but if Ms Lingxian could connect with this next move. Then it could perhaps seal the match for her, it looked simple but it was highly effective.

"Wait for it....wait for it....." Qi muttered to herself under her breath, and once Blaise was up then she would strike. The Beijing babe broke into a quick sprint, wasting no time in rushing forward at him. And Qi attempted to fire out her palm of compassion, a quick and forceful palm strike aimed right at Blaise's solar plexus! She was coming right at him, but Qi was rushing full steam ahead in the hopes of getting the attack right in.

It's slow-going, waiting for Blaise to find his feet again. He first has to roll over onto his front and gradually even his breath. His limbs are sluggish, his muscles sore and drained. He rocks back onto his feet and nearly falls back again. He manages to catch himself with a hand on the mat before gradually lifting to his feet, his back turned to her.

Blaise turns around and finds her trying to push a hole through his abdomen. "UGH!" His body folds up against the impact, his muscles not braced for the attack. It sends a shockwave through his entire being that both wracks him in pain and steals his ability tense anything. The young grappler drops forward to the mat and lies facedown. His breathing is strained, gasping, and his body gives a periodic, involuntary twitch.

Blaise might be wondering what just hit him, it wasn't a tank shell or anything like that. It was the tensed palm strike that Qi had mastered and perfected over the course of her years as a martial artist, the attack was dead on. Parents would be proud and all that stuff, Qi certainly thought that at least.

The fist of compassion looked over her opponent briefly and muttered "Damm, might have overdone it there." but Qi didn't waste any time. Blaise was clearly reeling from that strike, now was the time to seize the moment. With that in mind Qi quickly made her way atop Blaise to go for a pin attempt, hooking one of his legs as the ref began the three count at one.

Blaise is... a ragdoll. He can't move. He can't breathe without it sending a spike of pain through his body. When he's rolled over, he certainly isn't smiling anymore. His eyes are squeezed shut, teeth grinding, and jaw set. Every part of him is tense and strained. His muscles continue to periodically spasm as his system works out the pressure it's been put through.

Qi goes for the pin, and she'll find zero resistance. Only a light, wheezing, "Hng..," escapes him as she sets over him, feeling her weight twice as hard as normal. The referee drops beside them to begin the pinfall count.

"One!"
