Suzumi saw her opponent down and posibly out! She quickly crawled over to Riyu and laid on top of her for the pin! "That was a close one Riyu..."

ONE!

Suzumi looked downnat Riyu, feeling somewhat badly about s few of the things she said back in the gym. However, Riyu had run her mouth too, and if this was it she was asking for it a little bit.

"TWO!"

The ref girl yelled, raising her hand for a third time, before Riyu thrust her arm up, getting her shoulder off the mat and managing to break the pin, to the surprise and delight of the crowd. Still, she was hurt, and having breathing trouble, still laying on the mat after breaking the pin.

Suzumi felt Riyu's shoulderbraise, and she was genuinely surprised. "You should have just stayed down Riyu... but ya got guts." Suzumi said, crediting Riyu. However, Suzumi wanted this to come to an end now. She knew both women were getting tired....

Suzumi pulled Riyu up to a sitting position and sat behind her. She pulled her head back and wrapped her arm around it while wrapping her legs arou d Riyu's waist! The crowd cheered as they saw Suzumi trying tomlock in her modified dragon sleeper, the Tsunami Sleeper!

Riyu yelled. She kicked, she struggled, and held out for a little while. But, alas for her, she couldn't escape. Having that second high flying attempt backfire on her took most of what she had left in the tank, and she was still unable to breath properly, the sleeper not helping.

Finally, left with no other option, Riyu began tapping out, slapping her hand against Suzumi's arm, defeated yet again by her old opponent.

Suzumi applied as much pressure as she could, much to the delight of the crowd. She felt Riyu tap, and let go of the hold. She got up and raised her arms in victory as the crowd roared!

After basking in the cheers she knelt next to Riyu. "You may be a pain in the butt, but you are a good wrestler kid." She said as she got up, walking towards the ropes. She gracefully climbed between them and hopped down from the apron to the floor, making her way backstage victorious.

Riyu just groaned in response, rubbing at her neck and staying in the ring as Suzumi celebrated. She felt devastated. Not only had she lost, again, but Suzumi had been retired! She hadn't wrestled in a long while, while Riyu had stayed in the ring, and she STILL couldn't beat her!

Pounding the mat in disappointment, Riyu slowly started to get up, leaning against the ropes as she tried to think of where things all went wrong.

With the ringing of the bell signifying the end of the match, the backstage hallways would reverberate from the hollowed chanting of the audience. All fervent cheers for Suzumi whose emphatic submission victory broke the tie between her and Riyu. Hopefully settling any lingering debates for the time being over who the better wrestler was and potentially bringing about at least a shaky peace between them. At least that was the hope of a certain long-haired priestess, dutifully strolling down those echoing hallways to meet up with Suzumi backstage.

*Towels...water bottle...muscle relaxing cream...protein shake...* Dressed in her old white and red W.A. tracksuit, Mikoto would continue to perform a mental checklist of all the items strewn about in her tote bag that were apart of her post match ritual to ease the strain on her partner's fatigued body. Along with some post match leg strengthening exercises for her injured knee Mikoto insisted upon. Since cementing their status as a tag-team the pair had become quite inseparable backstage, appropriate timing considering the looming threat of Hibiki Izayoi was upon them. Now they could watch each other's back from the purple haired revenger should the need arise...

...but for now Miko was too concerned with reuniting with and congratulating Suzu on her latest win, a brisk stride to her step with a demure smile in her face.

In the same hallway, Chris stood, clad in her ring attire. Her eyes were fixed on a television that was showing the scene down at the ring.

Ever since Hibiki's attack on Mikoto and Miss USA, Chris was backstage for every match involving a former Wrestle Angel. She had resolved that Hibiki wouldn't get another chance to go after a vulnerable member of her old league. She looked away from her vigil to take note of Mikoto, giving a slight nod in way of greeting before returning her eyes to the screen.

With Mikoto recognizing the phenoms distinct features from a mile away, her steady stride slowed down to a near halt as she approached Chris Morgan from behind, nodding back towards her in as nonchalant an exchange you could imagine. As if they were just amicable co-workers passing each other in the hallway, which is essentially quite true. Mikoto turned her head intent to to continue on her way...but a nagging thought held her back and stopped her dead in her tracks.

With a calming breath, Mikoto casually turned to approach Chris and stand side by side with her, glancing upward towards the monitor to see Suzu taking in her well earned accolades in the middle of the ring. The priestess would silently watch the television monitor hanging above them for several seconds until eventually speaking up.

"...I'm...sorry. For snapping at you like that at the beach. You were only speaking your mind...it's just...all of this means the world to her. Enough for her to drop her acting career. Enough to risk re-injuring herself. I don't think she was ready to hear what you had to say, especially not from someone whom she blames for taking it all away..."

Chris remained silent for a moment, considering her words before she spoke. Her eyes never left the screen.

"It's fine Mikoto." she told the priestess. "I'm used to taking the blame for things. In a way, maybe it was good to hear it from me. If it came from you it might have driven a wedge between you two. But me, well, she already doesn't like me. Still, she needs to be aware of her situation, the good and the bad."

She sighed.

"It may seem hard to believe, but I respect Suzumi. She's tough, to bounce back after her injury. A lot of girls don't. And she was good tonight" the Californian spoke. "I still think she should see the doctor I was talking about back at the beach, but I can't make her. But watch her Mikoto. If she shows any signs of the injury getting worse, you have to convince her to get help. I don't want to see her get permanently hurt. Despite what any of you think, I don't want to see any of you hurt."
