There was a time when Stone would have had a lot more trouble with the ground and pound, when she would have drowned in the flood of blows and gotten overwhelmed. These days, she was a lot more in control, and it probably had a little to do with hanging around a woman like Mako, who couldn't seem to go five minutes without trying crap like this.

So, Stone wasn't completely withering under Mira's assault, but getting out of the move as soon as possible was an unquestionable good thing. Shame for her, the knee didn't get her out. It just complicated things. Now she had an elbow in the face to deal with. Great.

Stone took a hard shot to the face as the referee moved around them, keeping her eyes open for the pin count. She wasn't that bad off, but she was far closer to it than she wanted, and having her head swimming around from the blow didn't help things. Still, she wasn't out of options, and she went for the first one that came to mind: Stone planted her feet flat on the floor, arched her back, and tried to bridge Mira right off of her and send her tumbling forward.

So far, so good... the ground and pound worked well enough. Maybe rhinze and repeat? Probably too early to say this for sure. After all she shouldn´t get all excited just because she had landed a few good punches. It was normal that an opponent used to wrestling would have some trouble dealing with a completely different fighting style. In essence it had nothing to do with each other anyways... what she did was fighting to hurt and disable. What they did was fighting to do damage, present a good show, get lots of publicity and to weaken the opponent for a pin-fall... on that note she probably shouldn´t forge- before Mira could finnish her thought process, Stone arched her back throwing her off to the front. Caught completely off-guard by this manouver, Mira faceplanted hard into the ground, her rear sticking up into the air like a shining beacon as she disgracefully landed. Sighing to herself in resignation over her own absentmindedness during the brawl, Mira got up on her hands and feet risking a quick look over to her opponent... she then attempted to get up again, to continue her onslaught...

Mira was off of Stone, and she'd gotten dumped in a pretty unceremonious manner. She wasn't crazy enough to think that one good rally would be enough to cinch the match, but she was going to have to start somewhere, and this was the perfect opportunity to gain some dominance.

Stone pushed up as fast as she could, shaking off the head trauma and forcing her body to comply with her demands despite the protests from her creaking bones. She moved around in a crouch position, ducked low, tensed her thighs, and readied herself for take-off, so that when Mira finally turned around, she had the perfect move waiting for her: Stone simply leap up, brought her legs in, and fired off a fierce drop kick, going right for her stomach.

Getting up again, Mira's single eye widened as she saw the drop-kick come towards herself. Yet the time window was too slow for an appropriate reaction, as such all Mira could do was bring her arms up... yet too far. While she was trying to protect her chest the drop-kick hit her frontal in the belly, the sheer force knocking the air out of her lungs as a sickening feeling started to spread in her gut... the strength behind Stone's attack however just knocked her off her feet, falling back into the ropes. However instead of just slipping down the ropes, Mira's weight was simply reflected by the elastic ropes, throwing her back and on her front. Colliding with the mat once more, Mira shook her head angrily, slamming her fist into it as she attempted to get up again, yet as soon as she got on her knees her gut and bladder started to hurt immensily, causing the woman's hand to flinch slightly towards her stomache... deciding to remain on her knees for just a moment, Mira would then attempt to get back up, throwing a back-elbow towards Stone's chin, should the woman try to rush her from behind once more.

Just like her trainer had advised her - 'when in doubt, dropkick'.

The attack was normally pretty powerful, but when delivered by someone with Stone's speed, it was downright devastating, and Mira was definitely feeling the effects. Sure, she was bigger than most people Stone went up against, but that hardly made her immune to the damage, and the blow left her reeling on the floor, struggling to get back up. Easy pickings.

That was where Stone's line of thinking took her, anyway. The fact of the matter was a little bit different, and Stone wound up taking an elbow in the chin the moment she was close enough. The blow rocked her jaw and sent her back to the ropes, forcing her to lean on them while she tried to realign her brain.

Taking her chance to get back into the offense, Mira would follow up with a palm strike. However regardless of whether she´d miss it or not, she´d attempt to pull Stone´s head downwards, by pulling her hand back from the thrust, grabbing the opponent´s hair or back of the neck in the process in an attempt to force her to bucklet... so Mira could bring her knee up into a brutal knee-thrust, aiming for her opponent's solar plexus. She´d further support the sheer force behind the kick, by pressing against Stone´s back with her other arm, getting the full power of her leg and the pulling movement right into her opponent's diaphragm.

One that´d be done, or have failed she´d get a step in between herself an Stone and would take a quick look, in order to figure out whether she could keep going immediately or not, in case the latter was the case, Mira would then proceed to sit on Stone's butt. Naturally if Stone should have managed to evade her actions she´d just get distance between themselves.

The elbow shot left her seeing stars, but Stone had enough of a mind left to know there'd be a follow up coming - Mira didn't strike her as the type to miss opportunities. So, when the palm strike came whizzing towards her face, she was reasonably ready for it, and managed to bob her head to the side for a quick dodge.

The follow up was a different story, though. That took her offguard, and the knee strike that follow almost seemed to shot straight through Stone's hardened body. She gasped and bent forward as her legs threatened to fall out from under her, and then finally carried through - down she went, tumbling on her chest.

She would have been content to lie there for a few seconds and catch her breath, but that notion ended when she felt Mira sitting down, right on her own ass. Getting beaten was one thing, but she wasn't standing for humiliation, and she voiced her approval with a loud shout as she rose up and tried to throw Mira off.

Well at least this went as expected... prepared to be thrown off, Mira did her best to hold onto Stone, throwing herself forward as the women raised her body, to throw her off. As such Mira's heavy body collided with Stone's as she got up, which was the opportunity she needed.
Mir would then attempt to hurl her right arm around Stone's neck, closing it in a manner that her forearm and biceps would press against her opponent's carotid artery, from both sides, aiming to close her arm into this choke-hold, Mira would then strain the muscles of her upper body immensely, while she´d stand in a slightly squatted position, to keep Stone in her half-upright position and thus, the ideal position for her choke-hold. Her left arm would simply press against her own wrist, in order to increase the force of her choke-hold further.

Stone started to work her way up, thinking she'd gotten a few seconds to breath from the relentless Mira. No such luck. The Russian was on her in a heartbeat, and she felt steely arms close around her throat from behind and a hard body press up against her back. She managed to get out one last gasp before her windpipe was slammed shut, caught tight in Mira's merciless chokehold. Her head thrashed, her body spasmed, but there wasn't much give to be had after the lock went on.

One hand went Mira's arm, pulling at it, trying to get an inch of relief, just let a few quick breaths in. It wasn't happening, and if anything, it made her waste the precious little oxygen she had left. The hold was tighter than a Siberian beartrap, almost as painful to endure, and while Stone couldn't see her face right now, she knew it was starting to change colors. Getting out would be good. And soon.

Stone planted her feet on the floor and started to push up, trying to stand a little more, while she put her  other arm to good use and swung it back, aiming to his Mira's ribs with a vicious elbow.
