Stone

Match Type: Standard
Victory Conditions: Pinfall, Submission, or Knockout

***

Stone sat in the backstage area, leaning against her motorcycle. Dressed up for action in her mercenary outfit - green baggy pants, shirt clinging to her chest, neck covered and arms exposed. She tightened her gloves and enjoyed the solitude, breathing in deep. Alone. That last bit was a rare thing for her, these days.

In spite of all the copious quanities of shit Mako and Divine gave her, for all the crap she had to go through with them, for every little headache they threw her way on a daily basis, Stone really did love being in the Valkyries. Her church rejected her. Her army rejected her. But them? They accepted her with open arms, no strings. They were the first organization that took her as who she was, not what they wanted her to be, and for that she was eternally grateful. Even if 'organization' was probably way too strong of a word for a rag-tag group of lesbians driving around Japan on motorcycles.

But all the same, working with the Valkyries was, well, work. And ever since they started fueding with John and his friends, things had become progressively more and more complicated. She needed some relief from the grind, she needed to do something where she wouldn't have to worry about getting jumped on by King or Ro or whoever they'd managed to piss off this week. She needed a match. In Friction.

She'd already had one, and Mako gave her all sorts of shit before, during, and after it. This time she solved the problem easily by not even telling her glorious leader this was happening. Oh, she'd find out eventually and chew Stone out for it, but by that point she wouldn't care. Tonight was all about her and doing what she loved most: wrestling. Nice, simple, wrestling.

One of the stage crew came out and held up a finger. Young guy with a name she couldn't pronounce or remember. "One minute, Alicia."

"Stone." She was quick to correct him. Probably just going off the cards and seeing her real name there, not like he could know. "And I'm ready."

She revved up her motorcycle and let it purr, vibrating beneath her with a low hum as the engine settled. It wasn't long before her music began and AC/DC filled the stadium walls. She came out as the drums to Highway to Hell began, giving her bike a little jolt, then letting it glide all the way down the ramp. For all the quibbles she had with Mako, she had to admit, using the motorcycles for an entrance was a good idea. Letting the whole world see who they were and doing it in style. A little flare never hurt anyone.

She put it in park around the side of the ring, cut the gas, and slid off, taking her time as she made her way into the ring. Stone brought her leg up and stepped over the top rope to put a little emphasis on her size, some intimidation for whoever they'd decided to throw at her. A new girl, if she remembered what the crew was saying right. 'Mira'. Sounded exotic.

Stone walked over to the center of the ring and started stretching her arms, waiting for her music to end and her opponent's to begin.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

It was her time now... right? Yes, probably her turn too! Whatever that meant, all she knew as that she was supposed to get out there and kick somebody square in the face until the person passed out. Not that complicated right? But first...

Mira let out a groan as one of the chains around her torso was pulled tight... preparation for her own entrance, as always. Technically a great exercise, cause this shit was so darn heavy, but maybe she should´ve changed it for something else along the way. Well... it´d probably spare her the warm-up. Either way, her opponent was out there... and now she´d be sent in!

Well hopefully the crowd wasn´t too loud today, she was feeling kind of nervous these days. Well at least until she actually got back in the fighting mood, but... hey not like she could influ- Her music started and her nervous thoughts and worries were whipped away in an instant, instead Mira let out a deep snarl, that warned the men around her to get the hell away from her, jumping out of her way as she charged into the hall, the rattling of chains accompanying the music that played... every chain was tied to some part of her body, leading back to dummies wearing military armor, or even just clothes reminiscent of soldiers.

The deep red light, which painted her entrance, further enhanced the macabre effect this image left... a woman dragging the bodies of her enemies behind her, yet tied down and imprisoned by them at the same time. She had chosen this type of entrance for a reason... it wasn´t like anybody had to get the message, it looked cool enough not to be necessary.

Groaning and panting from the weight of the chains and the dummies she was dragging behind herself, Mira slowly closed in on the ring... the metal case that enclosed her jaws to "prevent her from biting" in a metaphorical manner, was the first thing that had to go. Bashing her head against the corner post of the ring, she opened the lock to the case, causing it to fall off, then with a brutal grin on her face, Mira freed herself of one chain after the other, shedding them like a second skin, as she walked up to the ropes, pushing herself against the chains as if they were trying to prevent her from adding another body to their collection.

Thent he last chain fell and Mira stood in the ring, a faint smirk adorning her lips as her one eye hectically raced from her opponents face, down to the legs and back up to get a grasp of her rough style going by their muscle build. Probably somebody pretty similar to herself... tall, powerful. She´d love this! Every second of it... but first; Mira sneered chuckling condescendingly while shaking her head a little as her smirk grew wider. Pitiful... that´s what she was trying to express, what she wanted her opponent to think, she thought.

However quite the opposite was the case, she wanted to anger her opponent, causing her to come at her asap, so she could get a firm grasp on her rough moveset and techniques. After all knowing your opponent was half the fight... and she had more than enough endurance to keep herself alive and ready until she got a proper impression of how to counter this... 'Stone' it did sound fairly flashy and heavy... whatever that meant. Tilting her head to one side she stared at her opponent with the same condescending smile, while shedding her overall, exposing a tank-top that spanned tightly over her muscular upper body, as her tattooes moved with every twitching of her toned body. The tank top ended just slighty above her booty shorts, which were just as black as the top, leaving only a very thin line of skin between her bottom piece and her top piece. Her tonned legs however were bare down to the knees, where they went over into boots, with a slight heel... so she could properly dig into her opponent. Throwing her jacket out of the ring, Mira then just cracked her glove-hugged knuckles.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

In some ways, Stone had led a blessed life. She'd traveled all over the world, whereas most people rarely went out of their own country. She'd been to exotic locations, seen things that few people ever had the pleasure or displeasure of seeing. Even though she was only 28, she'd experienced more than most did during their entire lifetime.

So, with all that in mind, it took quite a lot to really throw her off. Nonetheless, somehow, Mira managed it. Stone wasn't sure whether to be impressed or disturbed.

Stone thought she'd been doing good with her entrance, but Mira put her to shame. Chains. Music. A whole brooding atmosphere. Stone wanted to say she was overdoing it, but that was the point, wasn't it? You didn't score points in wrestling by being subtle. Bombasity was rewarded with attention, and she would definitely get it with an opening like that. Chains. What Stone guessed were supposed to be dead bodies. Dark lights. Weird, even by AFW standards.

Despite all that, though, the woman was pretty big. About Stone's size, give or take an inch, and every bit as well bit. It was pretty obvious why they'd gone for this matchup - someone who could take her head on, two giants slugging it out.

She folded her arms as Mira cracked her knuckles, giving her a slow look over. "Interesting entrance." She nodded, as their eyes met. "I'm guessing...symbolism?"

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Only nodding in response to Stone's question, Mira clicked her tongue... in thought at least. She had hoped the other woman wouldn´t be that calm. That was atypical for a wrestler, usually they wanted to brag and call on each other more than anything, sticking to their ridiculous concept of pride. Well... this one was either the exception or it wasn´t a real wrestler, after all she herself could hardly be called a wrester, so the possibility was most definitely present. The russian woman then just started to circle her opponent, her healthy eye turned towards her at every moment and her body as tense as a spring. Still grinning, Mira let her smile widen ever more in silent ridicule, apparently mocking her opponents very appearance and demeanor. Anyway... she´d not be able to keep this up forever, after all they were getting paid to fight, so that´s what they should do. The bell rang...

Taking the initiative herself, Mira would thus lunge forward her arms spread relatively wide, as if trying to grab Stone. Yet before she´d get into actual range, Mira would correct her own movement by making a dash to the left, then another dash diagonally forward to the right, using her slightly spread arms to her advantage in order to aim an elbow-thrust with her right, into her opponents face, using the foot-work manouver to her advantage. Her left would immediately follow up with a palm strike to Stone´s forehead regardless of whether the first blow would be successful or not, while Mira herself would bend her knees and stretch her upper body forward to transfer her full weight into the strike, aiming to push her opponent back with this attack as far as possible so she herself would get a time window large enough, to reposition herself properly.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Oh, so they weren't having any trash talk. Typically Stone wouldn't complain, but she was actually in a somewhat festive mood, today. She could have done with a little banter, get their spirits up and pump the blood, but apparently that was Mira's style. Given the entrance, maybe that wasn't too surprising.

Mira's smile was a little off-putting, but Stone blew it off as the bell rang. If she was trying to psyche her out, she'd quickly find that was just not the way to go with this fight. Stone had been through far, far more stressful things than anyone inside the squared circle could hope to throw at her. Wrestling was tough, and she didn't expect to win every match, but she wouldn't be intimidated by a gimmick. No matter how creepy that gimmick was.

Stone expected a tie up and moved in as Mira lunged, but the woman was a good deal faster than she looked - something they had in common. Stone was just barely able to dodge the first strike, jerking back as the elbow whizzed by her face, but the palm strike was a different story.Thatconnected, struck her right on the forehead and sent her stumbling back towards the ropes.

Stone rolled with the momentum and let it take her all the way to the ropes, where she bounced off and came back towards Mira, full steam ahead. She juked to the side right before they collided and tried to hit with her a fast clothesline, looking to strike her right above the chest.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Post by Mira Andreva Thu Jan 15, 2015 7:07 pm

Seeing her own success at least left Mira with one confirmation... the opponent wasn´t just tall and heavy, not to mention quick to react even when under pain or in a daze from blunt force impact. That´d definitely make it interesting.~ Mira saw her opponent extend her own fall, consuming not only Mira's power but amplifying it by bouncing off the ropes and charging at her, taking the momentum of the former moves along. Yet Mira who had brought some distance between themselves at the very least had enough time to prepare for the encounter, lifting up both arms on eye-level similar to a boxer, before moving into the clothes-line with the bony side of her forearm, to cause her opponent pain using her own momentum against her... however when they actually collided, Mira had to put all her might into pushing against the brutal impact with her opponent, pushing her back two steps due to the sheer power Stone had gathered through combination of their manouvers into this attack...

Now however she had stopped... and had given Mira her arm of her own accord! As such Mira would simply turn her block into a grab with her right hand, while at the same time performing an elbow-thrust with her left, aiming for Stone's chin from the right. In order to prevent her opponent from dodging the vicious blow, Mira would pull on Stone's arm right after grabbing it, to pull her off balance and into the elbow strike. THe direction of the pull would be diagonally downwards. Either way Mira would try to follow up by thrusting her left forearm into her opponents elbow-joint while pulling her arm further down, before putting her full wait into throwing her to the ground, aiming to have her upper back and head collide with the ground. She´d then just follow up with a straight stomp down to the gut, should it work out as intended to keep her opponent down a bit longer.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Post by acuyra Fri Jan 16, 2015 5:03 pm

There was something off about the way Mira moved. Not nescessarily anything wrong with her attacks or her style, they seemed solid enough so far. She was well trained, Stone could tell that much. No, it was something deeper than that. Her strikes felt wild, but mechanical at the same time. Fierce, but honed. Punishingly precise and oddly familiar through it all, like she was hearing a song she hadn't heard in years and was picking up the words as she went along.

Mira was no joke, and she took the clothesline like Stone wouldn't have expected a wrestler to - she countered, where most would have simply dodged. The elbow to her chin stunned her, the strike to her joints made them ache, and the next thing Stone knew, she was on a painful, downward path, getting tossed right on her ass.

She hit hard, but not so hard that she was unable to see Mira moving for a followup stomp. Instincts kicked and she grabbed the foot before it could drop all the way, holding on with both hands. She screwed it around with a vicious twisted and pushed, trying to throw Mira off and get them both on the same level.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Post by Mira Andreva Thu Jan 22, 2015 6:15 pm

Satisfied with the outcome of their clash, Mira wanted to stomp down on her opponent, however... she had not anticipated Stone to be still that vital after this series of attacks. As such she let out a surprised grunt as the other woman stopped her foot and twisted it, before pushing... causing Mira to sit down on her ass with the full momentum of the others push paired with her own weight. Disgruntled by this, Mira growled her expression turning sour and a bit darker for a second, before she bent forward and pressed herself off the mat, darting right at the other woman, as they were both on the ground.

Mira would aim to launch herself onto the other woman, closing her thighs around her upper body tightly if successful, before going for a Ground and Pound, by aiming punch after punch in the other woman's face. However her punches would be straight and with the weight of her upper body behind them, to make even a single hit quite heavy, should it land.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Post by acuyra Sun Jan 25, 2015 11:20 pm

A hard twist brought Mira down, making it a ground fight all of the sudden. Not the way Stone would have liked to deal with this, since she did her best work on her feet and off the ropes. But she could adapt.

Stone started to sit up, ignoring the death glare Mira was throwing her way as she went, but she didn't get far before the Russian bitch brought her back down by pouncing on her like a Siberian wolf. Stone wasn't fast enough, couldn't get her guard up in time, and she wound up taking one of the top ten hardest punches of her life right on the chin.

It wasn't just the impact that was impressive, but the way Mira threw it. Coordinated limbs. Mechanic effeciency. She looked rough on the outside, but these were well-trained blows. Even as she got her arms up to block the next one and the next after that, Stone could feel the impact rocking through her body.

Not content to just sit back and watch, though, she shot her leg up from behind and tried to knee Mira in the back, hoping she could shake her off and get free.

Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War Empty Re: Mira 'Ratel' Andreva vs. Stone - Cold War

Post by Mira Andreva Tue Feb 03, 2015 10:19 pm

Observing her opponents reaction with every further punch she threw, Mira could discern one thing: This woman had experience fighting people who were actually after knock-outs and not just "winning" or what they called it hear. If she wasn´t wrong she was in fact quite good at protecting both neck, as well as temple and chin very well. So... an almost instinctive protection of the most vital areas... either a boxer, street-fighter or a soldier. Though... boxers didn´t ground and pound, so that option could be eliminated.

Keeping up her pounding Mira clacked her tongue, as she looked down on the other woman, the condescending smirk on her face widening along with her eye, for a moment after realizing that her opponent was used to actual combat. This would be greaaat! Pulling her arm back for yet another heavy punch to her opponent, Mira let out a pained grunt as the opponents knee collided with her back, causing her punch to instead go past her head into the mat with an audible thud that made the mat shake a little.

In respone, Mira would try to slip further up on her opponent to get out of knee range, swapping to her elbows to strike down on her, straight from above, if placed on her chest/upper torso. She would however try to afix her opponent to the ground additionally, by pressing down on her right shoulder with her left hand, only striking with her own right elbow, to maximize the weight... in case of success of course.
