Fire and Ice vs The Ishiis

The titantron went black and the lights of the arena dimmed to almost complete darkness.  There were a few seconds of silence, though the darkness was lit up by an array of cellphone screens that emerged from the audience, all pointing towards the entrance ramp.  There were a few more seconds of emptiness before the titantron began showing images of different elements.  The screen would show ice around the edges with a fire burning in the middle.

Steam rose from the grates of the ramp, covering the entrance in a cloud of mist.  The two's theme started and the two wrestlers emerged from the steam.  Shauna O'Connor was wearing a dark red one piece that was open at the abdomen along with fake orange, yellow, and red tattoos that stretched from her left foot all the way to her left shoulder.  Her already red hair matched red of her tattoos.  Beside her was Ella Verseau who was wearing a similar outfit only with a icy blue color scheme to it.  Her hair was silvery and her tattoos were a mix of pale blue and silver and on her right side instead.  The main difference being that they were real unlike Shauna's.  Both were about the same size with same length hair, both with athletic and well-toned bodies.  They were Blaze and Frost, and together they were Fire and Ice.

A red-tinted spotlight followed Blaze while a blue-tinted one followed Frost.  The redhead showed enthusiasm as she made her way down the ramp in small jumps while holding a fist up.  Frost, though, was casually walking down the ramp shortly behind her teammate.  The two timed their entrances together and slid into the ring on opposite sides.  They met in the middle with their backs against one another and arms crossed, both looking at the nearest camera with confident smiles on their faces.  The lights undimmed and the music ceased, and the two women looked up at the entrance waiting for their opponents.

Moments after the Fire and Ice duo finished their entrance, their music died down and the arena once again was silent. And after a brief silence, Mariko Ishii's theme began to play over the speakers, cuing the arrival of the Ishii siblings.

The two simultaneously stepped through the curtain and onto the entrance ramp. Unlike their opponents, the Ishiis didn't have similar outfits or even a matching color scheme. Yamato Ishii was clad in a pair of yellow and black shorts, along with matching boots and gloves. Mariko wore a small gold top and a pair of matching shorts, with pink thigh high stockings and a pair of white boots.

Both wore confident expressions on their faces as they made their way down the ramp. Yamato smiled and high-fived several fans as he walked, while Mariko simply kept her eyes focused on the two women in the ring. Yamato then hopped up onto the apron and stepped through the ropes, immediately climbing up onto the middle turnbuckle in the nearest corner, shouting and posing for the crowd. Mariko, on the other hand, just walked up the steps and moved through the ropes, then stood in her team's corner while waiting for the bell to ring.

"Yamato-kun. I know we're up against a couple of women, but I need you to stay focused. Can you do that?" she said to her brother, never taking her eyes off their opponents. In the one other instance Mariko and Yamato had teamed up, the opposing also had a male member. She could only hope that not being the case this time wouldn't make too much of a difference. "Don't worry, I'll be fine!" Yamato replied confidently, hopping down from the corner to join his sister. "So who's gonna start this one?" Mariko thought for a moment, then motioned him back. "Let me test them out first." she replied, and Yamato simply nodded before stepping out onto the apron.

Although both tag partners watched the siblings walk down the ramp, Blaze's gaze seemed to one of more curiosity and anticipation. Frost, though, seemed to be glaring at them for whatever reason. Or maybe she was just squinting. Regardless, the team stayed close to their corner as the two siblings got settled in and figured out who would fight first. Blaze and Frost didn't say a word to each other, as Frost had already called that honor backstage. She was genuinely interested both in proving herself and roughing up her opponents.

The two stood close to each other, probably closer than just tag partners would. Blaze put a hand on Frost's shoulder, who turned to look at her partner up close with a grin. "I got this," she whispered to Blaze through the grin. The redhead smiled in return, nodded, then slipped through the ropes onto the apron, her hand following her partner's collarbone as it went.

Frost turned to look at her first opponent. The bell rang and she circled around the ring near Mariko, her hands still at her sides seemingly nonchalant about it all. As they got even closer, the silver-haired girl finally did bring her hands up and attempted to grapple with Mariko. Just as she did, though, she tried to pull Mariko up to give just enough room to drill her knee into her ribs.

"Woo! Lets go!" Yamato shouted enthusiastically from the apron, getting the crowed riled up a bit as the match began. Mariko, ever the more vigilant of the two, had been carefully watching her opponents and noticed the closeness between them. It almost seemed too…"intimate" for them to be friends, or even sisters. Lovers, perhaps? No way to know for sure, but one thing she could tell was that her opponents were both confident.

Lips curling into a faint grin, Mariko eyed Ella as the other woman moved out onto the apron, then began to circle the ring along with her, practically mirroring her opponent's steps. Soon, the two combatants began to draw closer to each other. And at the same moment her opponent moved, Mariko lunged out with her own arms, which locked up with Ella's.

Mariko attempted to push forward and drive Ella backward, grunting a bit with the effort. However, before she could make any progress in that area, Ella's knee suddenly lifted up and struck Mariko's ribs. "Ugh!" she gasped out, stumbling back a step or two from the impact.

Ella's knee impacted her opponent weaker than she had wanted but there was only so much room she had to wind it up. She immediately followed it up by spinning around and grabbing her opponent at the hair. She dropped down to a knee while pulling the hair over her in a snap mare.

Blaze leaned over the top rope with a smile. "That's it, kick her ass!" she yelled in her Irish accent. Frost didn't hear it. She was too focused on her task. She tried to reassert her grip on the woman's arms in an attempt to torque them back while holding her knee in Mariko's back.

Ella had scored the first hit, and didn't waste any time capitalizing on it. Before Mariko could react, the woman grabbed a hold of her purple hair and flipped her onto her butt with a snapmare, then put her knee into Mariko's back while wrenching on her arms. "Aggh!"

"Come on, Mariko! This chick's nothing! You can take her!" Yamato shouted from the corner, trying to rally his sister back into this. And though Mariko didn't directly respond to his words, her body reacted as if she had. Bringing her feet under her, she attempted to slowly push herself back up to a standing position, where she'd hopefully be able to find a way to free her arms from Ella's grip.

Frost thought she had what she considered a weakling in a crippling hold but she had underestimated her opponent. Mariko found enough strength to pull on her own arms and fight her way to her feet. As she did so, Frost had less and less leverage to wrench her arms backwards. "Kick her ass!" Blaze yelled again from the ropes. This time, her partner seemed to hear as she did just that.

Frost put her foot against Mariko's butt, let go of her arms and shoved her as hard as she could into the ropes. She crouched and leaned forward, ready to throw the woman into the air when she ricochet back to her.

It was a fairly slow process, but soon enough Mariko managed to fight her way back to a vertical base. The worst part was behind her, and now she just had to worry about freeing her arms. Fortunately, her opponent took care of that for her.

Mariko was suddenly pushed forward by the sole of Frost's boot, sending her straight into the ropes. And as she bounded off of them, she could see her foe hunched over in the center of the ring, likely waiting to toss Mariko into the air. In order to prevent that, as she ran back toward Frost she swung her right foot up to kick the woman's chest.

If the kick connected, Mariko would then follow it by wrapping her left arm around Frost's neck in a headlock before quickly tossing the woman over her hip to take her down to the mat, all the while keeping the headlock secure.

Frost looked up just as Mariko kicked up into her chest. The sudden impact made a loud smacking noise and the woman took a step back with both hands crossed over her chest. "Chienne" she grumbled from the pain. Before she realized what had happened, Mariko was already on her, flipping her over to the mat in a headlock.

Frost grit her teeth together, suddenly forgetting the pain from the kick. Her first reaction was to tug on Mariko's arms to get her to let go but that got her nowhere. She planted her boots into the mat and pushed away, arching her back as she did so. She wasn't sure just how far the ropes were from their present position, but the silver haired wrestler was confident she could slide the two close enough to them to force the ref to break the hold.

"There you go! Nice job!" Yamato shouted to his sister as she took Frost down with the headlock. And while she had her arm locked tightly around her foe's neck, Mariko gently brushed a hand over the woman' head, adding a slight taunting element to the headlock.

Unfortunately, they were closer to ropes than Mariko would've liked. And though she held onto Frost as tightly as she could while the woman squirmed and kicked, she eventually did reach the ropes, and the ref came over to make sure the hold was broken.

"I know, I know. I'll let her go." Mariko quickly said, releasing the headlock and putting her hands up to show she was backing off. She quickly stood and took a few steps back, allowing Frost time to get back up.
