Gabbin bout forumotion

Ok, so it looked like it was touched on, but never really resolved. I got three emails which seemed to suggest that I got three different PM's. I didn't get any notifications on this site nor can I actually see them in my inbox. Is forumotion just spazzing out, or did I fuggg up? I wouldn't mind waiting a bit to see the PM's, but it doesn't make sense that I can't see my messages, but I could just be retarded.

Also, I like this site quite a bit. The view on mobile is pretty cool.

I'm sorry we didn't notice this issue when we got the chance to review the site. It seems like there is a major issue with the engine that will cause a lot of us a lot of pain. I'm going to put this on my list of things that need to be solved in some way.

The search engines are apparently interchangeable. 3rd party engines like Google. I've been looking into it myself.

They once had a giant petition or poll on the support forum to fix the search engine but the admins said there was nothing they could do.

Unless every char from now links their rps in their profile, maybe we should tag chars in the thread title. "Backstage Meeting" (CindyLou & SuzyQ) or something. If you dont wanna link your threads in their char bio.

What are the things that you need to find on the board that you are having trouble finding?

if you can only search by topic then you can't, for instance, find all the threads with a particular character in them.

That is probably the biggest thing.

But certain words as well, like others have mentioned before. if you want to see if there's been a specific match type or for other reasons as well.

So I know it's probably already been attempted, but I might as well say it just to get it off my chest. So the search engine at the top. It's set to topics by default. I don't know if it's possible, but if there was a way to set the default to posts, it would solve the issue.

Really dumb site feature: If you choose the option to sign on invisible, then your friends will still see that you're online.

That is dumb. BUT! If you went on chat on the old site I could see those who were invisible anyway.
