Strategy: Betty's strategy can be summed up in seven words - 'if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying'. She's mastered the art of breaking the rules and getting away with it, and will take advantage of any and all opportunity to get in a cheap shot. She's actually not a bad boxer when she's taken straight on, but she has little confidence in her abilities and tends to fail rather quickly. Also, she does poorly against people who've fought her before or know what to expect going in.

Sunday Punches -  

Low Blow - Exactly what it says on the tin. Betty finds some way to inconvenience the ref, then ducks in and gets the cheap shot. It's not cheating if you don't get caught.

Headbanger's Ball - Betty gets in a clinch with the opponent, maneuvers them around so the ref can't see her head, then maliciously throws a few headbutts into the opponent's face. If that doesn't bring them down right away, she'll follow up with a hook or a straight while they're dazed.

The Faraway Glance - Betty looks off to the side of the ring, as if she sees something in the audience that's astonishing her. If/when her opponent looks out to see what she's staring at, she clocks them with a sucker punch.

Betty's pink hair is the most immediately noticeable thing about her, and no matter what she's wearing, it sticks out the most. There's deep meaning or reason to it, either. She just likes the color pink. Though she spends most of her time cheating, she does work out fairly regularly and has a lean body because of it. She's not exceptionally muscular, but it's clear she keeps herself in good shape. It can be a little hard to tell from the rather baggy, clubbish sort of clothing she tends to wear, though.

Personality:

Betty is cocky, crazy, funny, and silly all at once. She loves getting under people's skin, and if her fists moved anywhere near as quick as her mouth, she wouldn't need to cheat to win her matches. Rude and crude, she actually invests time into picking her opponents apart - she likes to make a project out of them, figuring out what the best taunts to use are, the best moves to dazzle them with, the best tricks to try on them. A successful con artists knows her marks better than they know themselves.

She lacks empathy - while she's not overly cruel and doesn't get any charge out of hurting people, she'll do what it takes to get what she wants, and if the person in question makes it abnormally hard for her, she doesn't have a problem exacting some revenge out of spite. A thoroughly cunning girl, it's best to never underestimate how far she's willing to take things. Chances are, you'll be wrong.

Past/History:

Everyone cheats.

Maybe you lie about the way your wife looks in that dress because you don't want to piss her off. Maybe you put 5% in the collection plate at church when you damn well know you could afford the full 10%. Maybe you bend the truth a little bit on your taxes.

People like to pretend they're honest and upright, they like to scoff at politicians when they're called out on scandals and caught lying to the public, but the truth of the matter is that they're no better than the leaders they vilify. When people genuinely think they can get away with something, there's no telling what they'll do.

Betty was exposed to this truth early on. She wasn't the daughter of a teacher or a farmer or someone with an 'honest' job. No, her father was a con artist, and a damned good one. Maybe the best. He'd made a solid living for him and his family by manipulating others, telling them what they wanted to hear, then pulling the rug out from underneath them. He always said that he did what he did so Betty wouldn't have to do things like that, so she could lead a honest life.

There was just one problem - Betty didn't want an honest life.

The way she saw it, life was a game, with a simple objective - get as much as you can before you die and screw everyone that stands in your way. She took this philosophy to school and excelled, making the honor roll by stealing tests and blackmailing other students into doing her homework. She was caught a handful of times, but each experience made her improve her techniques, learn from her mistakes and move on. The few times others students tried to cross her on the playground, she'd beat them back by fighting dirty.

By some miracle, she managed to make it through high school and with only a few suspensions. Aimless, she looked into ways to make cash quick instead of settling down and getting a real job, much to her father's chagrin. She eventually stumbled onto a small boxing tourney and joined up, finding a natural affinity for the sport - or, at least, a natural affinity for cheating at it. She won the prize there and spent the next few years going across America, tourney hopping. She'd win one, move on before the people had the chance to run her out onf town, then go to the next. Since they were mostly small towns, she managed to get around with only a few name changes needed to keep her reputation from following her around. After a while, though, the money began to dry up.

She became a DJ at a small time club and managed to hang aroud with that, but when she heard about the new Momentum faction in AFW, she saw it as an opportunity - more money, bigger opportunities, and if the referees were anything like the ones in Friction and Tension, easy wins.

Eager to give it show, she made her way to the land of the rising sun.

Fun Facts:

+ The one thing she has a genuine love for is music, in a variety of forms - she prefers electronic, club music, and rap, but she keeps up with a lot of different genres. Country, reggae, metal, you name it. She gets a little extra money DJing at a club called the Downward Spiral on weekends. She's actually fairly popular in the Japanese night scene, despite not being around for very long.

+ Her earrings belong to her late mother. She died shortly after Betty was born, but her father always spoke fondly of her. She believes the earrings bring good luck, and she keeps them close at all times.
