Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines - Page 2 Empty Re: Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines

Ryan's move was a total whiff, his arm catching nothing but air as he attempt to catch Charlie. Mr Knight turned around to face him, only to be caught off guard with a flying dropkick.

"Gah!" Ryan shouted, his back hitting the floor. He had been stopped dead in his tracks, and was knocked down as well. Mr Knight knew the situation wasn't in his favour, and would attempt to correct that. The way to do that was to roll backwards and get near the ropes, and then getting back on his feet.

The move did hurt of course, but it had just begun. And Ryan knew how to take hits like that, with tensed muscles to absorb the impact.

"Fine, I'll give you that one." Mr Knight said as he got some distance.

Charlie nodded at Ryan as he spoke, and was surprised when Ryan kept some distance between the two. Charlie ran forward at Ryan as if he was going to try something, but what he really wanted to do was get behind Ryan.

At the last second Charlie would attempt to duck and roll behind Ryan before grabbing him from behind in a reverse headlock! Was there another more orthodox, less complicated way to do this? Of course. Problem is Charlie had a nasty habit of never doing anything the easy way. It paid off for him a lot, but there were also plenty of times where he got bit hard.....

Ryan was put off by Charlie's unusual approach, duck and rolling? Although to be fair he should have expected it from a high flyer sort, but Lucy never attempted something like that.

And Charlie attacked by performing a reverse headlock on him, the young man knew this wasn't good. Due to the unusual position and ring location, but the match had just begun. And Ryan was still at the top of his tank, he was tempted to power out of the move. If only to try and demoralise Charlie.

But then Ryan remembered the ropes were nearby, and common sense kicked in. His adoptive Father taught him "Waste not and want not." and "Don't use power when there's an easier alternative."

So with that in mind Ryan quickly reached out his long arms and jerked his body around, hoping to grab hold of the ropes and force Charlie to break the hold.

"Ah... crap." Charlie said as he saw Ryan reach the ropes. He immediately let go of the hold and backed off moving towards the center of the ring. Charlie waited defensively, hoping to catch Ryan running at him. If he could turn some of Ryans offense against him and put a good submission on him that would be a great momentum builder for Charlie.

Really anything to keep the bigger, stronger guy off his feet was what Charlie was looking to do.

Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines - Page 2 Empty Re: Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines

Ryan believed he was dealing with a crafty foe here, just as crafty as he was. That was good in the eyes of the young man, it meant that this would be like a game of chess to Ryan. Wits were just as important in the ring as endurance was, he needed to think and plan ahead. More so considering that Charlie was going on the defending role.

Mr Knight took the chance to crack his neck, to show he wasn't fazed or worried. And then he eased back into his wrestling stance, edging towards Charlie. And then he'd quickly drop down, using his long legs to hopefully try and catch Charlie into a drop toe hold to force him down to the mat with him.

Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines - Page 2 Empty Re: Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines

Charlie had planned on Ryan rushing forward, not slowly stepping up. The sudden lashing out with his legs was also not what Charlie expected. He found himself in a drop toehold quickly followed by a face-full of the mat! Charlies head bounced off the apron and he felt a nasty stinging in his face!

Charlie tried to kick his legs free from Ryan's to avoid getting tangled up and used his arms to crawl away. "Come on man... you are better than this. Don't let this dudes clout mess with your gameplan. Get back in it!" He thought to himself. He needed a morale booster, and a way to get the crowd into it. A few cheers to feed off would be good right about now...

Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines - Page 2 Empty Re: Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines

Post by Deus001 Sat Aug 16, 2014 8:54 pm

"Got you now!" shouted Ryan as he proved successful in knocking Charlie down, Mr Knight believed Mr Haines expected him to rush and tank whatever he threw at him. But Ryan was more methodical, his Sister was the one who just came up with a plan as she winged it.

So with that in mind, Ryan hoped to start wearing down on Charlie's legs, to try and stop him from leaping about so much. Mr Knight attempted to quickly alter the hold and keep a grip on the legs of Mr Haines, and lock in a two legged boston crab.

"Did you mistake me to be a brute without a thinking process? I hope not Mr Haines." Ryan said in a calm voice.

Charlie knew he screwed up and felt the wrenching pressure of a boston crab as Ryan locked it in. Charlie reached for the ropes and his grip was well short and he needed to get out of this hold. Now.

Charlie tried to use his arms to drag himself close enough to the ropes for Ryan to have to break the hold. It took Charlie a second to figure out that Ryan was talking to him. Mr. Haines? Charlie was pretty sure he came across as a non-formal type. Usually people just called him Charlie, or some sort of insult. "Not really... but I kinda hoped...." Charlie muttered as he began to crawl, reaching out for the bottom rope.

Ryan merely shook his head, acting calm even as Charlie scrambled to get to the ropes. "Tsk, tsk." he simply stated, Mr Knight knew that Charlie would need his legs to do his high flying moves. But he wasn't making it easy for the paragon of Britain, sooner or later Charlie would get to those ropes.

And when he did and the ref gave the order, Ryan would move to let go right away. Heading towards the other side of the ring, after putting on the pressure like that he figured it'd would be best to take a breather. Mr Knight would opt to do the same, the regal man knew that getting tired led to losing. A lesson from his old man.

"So, satisfied?" Ryan would shout from across the ring.

Charlie felt relieved when Ryan let go of him, and as he made his way to his feet he couldn't help but notice Ryan casually walking to the other side of the ring. While he wanted to get pissed off about Ryan taking him lightly, it seemed like a better idea to use this to his advantage. Charlie had seen it before, an opponent didn't think of him as a serious threat and Charlie quickly showed them the error of their ways. Time to do it again.

Charlie just stared over at Ryan as he ran forward as quickly as he could. He knew Ryan would expect some sort of attack, which Charlie would do eventually. Right now, all he wanted to do was rush forward and slide down between Ryan's legs to get behind him.
