Kawaii Opportunities

Sun Jun 17, 2018 3:04 pm by Daaharu

Hey, guys!

With the kawaii title match at Avalanche taking on an interesting wrinkle with the interruption by the Brat Pack, we are moving forward with the overall kawaii storyline, and at this point I'd just like to take stock of what kawaiis are out there that are interested in participating in a cohesive storyline.

Can't make any promises about titles or what exactly each girl's given role would be. We can talk a little more about the specifics of where the story is going soon, but I …

Match for Takeichi

Tue Jun 12, 2018 6:13 am by GrandAkumaShogun

So with my other two guys having their own matches I figure I should do something with my first character on here, Takeichi Mori. If anyone is interested feel free to post here or get in touch through a pm so we can plan it out. I can either have Takeichi remain a jobber or begin to work him towards being a more serious competitor.

Match or RP?

Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:48 pm by Lotuswarrior

I'm just looking to do something while I wait for match replies. Really want to get some characters cemented a bit with a rival or some interactions with other characters here.

If anyone wants to do something hit me up.

AFB (Anime Female Boxing)

Post by Tatyina on Sun Apr 27, 2014 9:22 pm

It's been discussed among the mods before, and a while back I meant to post this thread but never did. Now that there's interest again, I wanted to see how the site felt.

As you may or may not know, this forum has a boxing section in Alternative. That more or less makes boxing non-canon, however, it receives mild popularity (from what I have gathered) on the site. There have been a decent amount of independent boxing matches within the "canon" Friction forum. It's been included in PPV events and it has the most activity by far in Alternative.

Now, there ARE a few options and this is where you guys come in.

We could:

  • Do nothing.[/*Ⓜ3vpry8dp]
  • remove boxing from Alternative and archive it into regular Friction, letting people just do boxing as they please without really acknowledging it as separate from Friction but also bringing it into the Friction "canon"[/*Ⓜ3vpry8dp]
  • Put a Boxing Subforum in Friction, giving it Friction "canon" status as well as legitimizing it as a semi-separate entity[/*Ⓜ3vpry8dp]
  • Make a Boxing forum so that it becomes, essentially, another "canon" league like Friction and Tension. [/*Ⓜ3vpry8dp]

There are pros and cons for all of these options. I know where the other moderators fall, as well as where i personally fall. However, I'd like to get some members opinions before any of the mod staff weigh in.

Thank you for your help! ^ ^

Well,if it is put under Friction, then technically there would be a stop on any of mal-male or male-female boxing. In some case, they have happened. And kiranar uses the Xerxan character primarily for Boxing Federation.I do know that is but one member, but I like that guy <img src=" title="Very Happy" /> (Although I like everyone, but thats unrelated)

If there is a boxing 'forum'.I would assume it would be very small.Something the size of what Alternative is.Which isnt a bad thing at all.

subforum. It's too small for a league but i dont see harm in having those special days when matches happen.

Right now, I vote for it to be a Friction subforum. Definitely should be legitimized, especially since acuya and I have a match going on there right now that I would really prefer to be canon! <img src=" title="Razz" />

EDIT: There could be a Tension boxing subforum too, I guess, for all the dweebs over in that part of the league. <img src=" title="Razz" />

Okay, one more thing here. I'm sure most of you have noticed that I suck and the old Daaharu who could finish a thread in three days is gone now. But even so, I shouldn't be leaving threads for more than a week, and that has been happening with alarming frequency lately. So, please, if I have not replied to our thread in the last SEVEN DAYS, please LET ME KNOW on here or on Trillian so that I can suck a little bit less and not leave you hanging for a month.

Officially caught up to my AFW replies on June 1.

I wouldn't split it.

if it was its own forum, then it would be intergender. if it's a subforum attached to Friction, then, I guess the guys will just have to do any boxing THEY want to do whether it be m/f or m/m in Tension. since those would be (conceivably) rare instances.

Are there people looking to do M/M boxing?

That sounds reasonable.Since, they ARE rare instances. What would become of the current and ongoing ones?

they'd be moved to whatever ended up happening. If it's a subforum or new forum altogether.

Working out now, so I can't write too much, but for now I'll say that I do have interest in m/m boxing matches.

Re: AFB (Anime Female Boxing)

I brought this up a while back, and I still stand by my original opinions on it.

Split it off into it's own league, and put it on the main page. Splitting it off into it's own thing would let it have it's own events and it's own title, and putting it on the main page and not shuffled away where no one knows it exists would definitely increase it's popularity.

I guarantee that the reason it's more popular is because it's hidden away behind the alt arena, alllll the way at the bottom of the main page, with two of the site's biggest failed projects. How many people do we have on the site that don't even realize it exists?

EDIT: Also, putting it as it's own league would allow for f/f, m/f, and m/m matches all in one place. Splitting it into two different things between Friction and Tension would divide the fanbase, I think. Mainly because the Tension one definitely wouldn't be as popular as the Friction one.
