Welcome to the AFW!

Blossom had been watching the AFW since her ankle was broken a few months back. She didn't have much else to do, really, and it was the only way to break the tedium. Oh, she did other things, of course. She cleaned up around her apartment, had the occasional friend over for tea and a caste signing. She read a few books, had them carted her way from the library. Lifted weights and did some light exercise to keep from picking up too much weight in her downtime. Took up knitting, made a sweater and a pair of socks for Death Bunny. Both of which she'd probably burn, but it was the thought that counted.

It was all so nice. And tedious. Ever so very much tedious. Friction - and the occasional Tension match, too - was the only thing that really brought some life into her day. That, and Googling pictures of cats. She saw the matches, kept up with the stories as best she could, even ordered a PPV - Summer Splash. In fact, that was a big part of the reason that she'd bothered to hobble herself on down to the AFW arena, strutting around the back in crutches and trying her best not to get in the crew's way. She was starting to get that old itch again.

It would still be weeks before she could even think about setting down on her good foot, but she was definitely thinking about making a combeback run, after she took a little time to get some more training under her belt and refined her style. When she came back, she was going to come full throttle and take Friction by storm...or at least a moderate drizzle. She might even get really crazy and start wearing shoes to the ring.

She had just come to file some paperwork, when she caught one of the matches on a passing TV. It was between two new girls, but if Blossom hadn't known better, she would have though they were more experienced than she was. They wrestled like pros - real pros, and they put on a short but sweat match, definitely a better showing that Blossom had with her first fight.

Curiouser and curiouser.

She had some time to burn and nothing to burn it with, and on top of that she was just jonesing to talk with another newbie. More than enough reason to hang around, so Blossom scooted out of the AFW office and made her way to the backstage area, looking for none other than Miyumi Ikeda. Give her props, congratulate her on the match, get a little friendly and maybe, just maybe, figure out who her first opponent would be when she got back in action.
