Hi all. Deus here.

You may have noticed I am a bit quiet on the forums these days. My parents split up, I split up with my girlfriend and moved house. I am moving house again in February as well. 2017 was one slow motion punch to the dick for me and my balls are still numb to be honest.

Like, does anyone here know any home cures for heart burn or indigestion? some of us might not trust pills all the time, but I'm wondering if there are alternative, 'didn't know that' ways, just any home remedies for things~

easiest one for heartburn/indigestion quick fix is strong peppermint. Like Trebor Extra Strong. Saved me a lot of problems when I was in Exeter. But it's a temporary fix at best, it was just what I needed to not keel over on the station platform.

Aloe vera juice! It usually comes as a juice or a thicker gel, and the only difference is the texture. It tastes pretty much like a plant, but it really helps to cool off the guy.

Other than that, you'd have to look at your diet as a whole. Being overweight or having gained a lot of weight often leads to heartburn and whatnot. Without knowing really specific information, the best thing is just to get as healthy as possible. Avoid processed food, and eat as many fresh, raw vegetables/fruits as you can. If your grandmother wouldn't recognize it, or if you can't make it in your kitchen, or if you can't grow it in your yard, don't eat it. Eat a salad of some kind every day.

Cinnamon tea I hear also helps. Just cinnamon in hot water with some raw honey. Or you could even try the cider vinegar method: 4oz water, 1 tablespoon raw cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon raw honey. Mix it up and pound it, it can help correct acidic imbalances. It's also really good for sinus infections and stuff.

I'm not overweight Blue T_T just my chest hurts with a cough, burning sensation, I might of drank something hot too quickly.

My folks have always done this thing where they take coke and boil it with ginger for coughs and sore throats. Not sure on how effective it is, since I haven't had it since I was like 5 though.

Apparently there's some chemistry behind it, with the acid in the coke and the medicinal stuff in the ginger, but no matter what, it's kinda wierd to be making ginger-flavoured cocacola soup.

Ya, that's similar to the vinegar-and-honey thing, but coke syrup is definitely not ideal. Raw honey is good for sore throats for plenty of reasons, and coke syrup only has certain similarities.

Ginger can be great for certain stomach things. For indigestion, trying making some ginger tea. You can even just peel a little 1/2" piece and chew on it for a while, but that'd be more if you're used to ginger.
